I never had one quite like that, but I did have a bag phone!
I got this UNI-T UT-383-BT sensor a few years ago after Dr. Bugbee mentioned it in a video. It connects by bluetooth to the "PPFD Meter" app to calculate PPFD and DLI. I've only tested it against the PAR maps published for my lights by HLG, which seemed pretty close. The sensor display is LUX, but the app converts it to PPFD and DLI (you have to enter how many hours of light per day). It's nice not to have to burn your eyeballs out looking at the meter under the bright lights, you just look at the app on the phone. The sensor is under $30 on e-Bay.Does anyone have a recommendation for which phone works best with Photone app? Are the new iPhones best or will slightly older ones work fine?
I have to get a new phone anyways, mine is so old I can't access the app store anymore. Figure a par meter is just as expensive and Photone apparently works just as well.
Pretty sure thats the one that wasn’t reading properly yet Photone was! I am already 4 globs in so can’t remember if it was @Olderfart or who that said the meter is a POS in comparison! Not positive thats the exact same one but sure looked like it! Hopefully he didn’t get some wonky Canadian version! For $179 you can have a real quantum sensor on Amazon
