IMO never trust a heat mat unless it is controlled by a thermostat setup that protects the plants. I use the same pid inkbird controller to handle my rosin press, my heat pad, a hot plate, as well as some other stuff.Is the heat mat the problem? I have a bunch of them and they all have hot spots. I usually have to put some sweatshirts on top of them to keep them from cooking my mushrooms. Can have spots that are 80 and spots that are 95 inches from each other

I never count them in the Plan....coz they are weather dependent...and I never crossed between Mid December to March because if bad weather hits and the plant ain't Happy....it will abort the seed and you get loads of those white empty pods...which are no good for man nor beast....
But I'd love to let the males go full pollen frenzy to see if I can attract the Stoner Bees....I was told that Couldn't happen...so it Intrigues me...
