I honestly don't know. I bought mine to make butter and oil for ediblesWhat does a rice cooker do that a pot with a lid doesn't? I'm too old fashioned, enlighten me. I sound 200 years old.
I like stews, chili and such which is best cooked low and slow so I figured what the hellI've lived alone for a little over a year now. Since I became single I have never cooked so much but I only use the cooktop and the microwaveGot me a Nebula decarb machine for x-mas, I have a feeling this will be my most used kitchen appliance soon.
When we broke up we both wanted everything. After a couple of weeks we both tried to get the other part to please come and pick that mixer up because what are we gonna do with all this shit.
Supposedly cook it perfect. One I'm looking at does a lot more, even bake a cake. What does a rice cooker do that a pot with a lid doesn't? I'm too old fashioned, enlighten me. I sound 200 years old.
Set it forget it. A pot has to be watched and takes up ¾ of your cook top. What does a rice cooker do that a pot with a lid doesn't? I'm too old fashioned, enlighten me. I sound 200 years old.
IMO it's better to get a good quality one. They do a good job and last a long time. We've had cheap ones that just didn't last.Set it forget it. A pot has to be watched and takes up ¾ of your cook top.
I use mine almost every day.
If you get a nicer one it will have settings for different foods and a timer to start cooking so you have rice or whatever when you get home or get up.

I saw a rice cooker on IG that all you have to do is add the rice , the machine weighs it and adds the appropriate amount of water !Did some research on smaller appliances for after she leaves. Just too much of a struggle handling that heavy ass 10qt crockpot when all I need is a 2qt. Thinking about a rice cooker as well.
