U can still run a fan over the product to evaporate the alcohol off vs cooking it off! Just do as suggested and pour into a shallow dish! The thinner it is spread out the quicker it will work! :d5:
Oh wait u are using the heat to decarb!:rofl:

Thanks. I will keep that in mind for next time, but since we didn't decarb I'll need to heat it to evaporate the alcohol this time.
So i would do low and slow double boiler in half filled mason jars with the lids screwed on! Just warm enough and long enough to decarb the product and then go about evaporating it with a fan! Definitely much safer than cooking off alcohol cuz even outdoors can fuck u up if u don’t wear a mask and the wind blows them fumes in your face! @Mañ'O'Green will for sure have the smartest method here! ;)

You can do the double boiler decarb with the mason jar lids on so can do inside (my mom does) but u gotta be careful with temp so u don’t drift and let it get warm enough the alcohol starts being vaporized cuz then pressure will start to build quickly and explosion can follow! ;)

Fresh box. 175 patties / 58 days equals 3.02 patties per day. Seems reasonable

So last time I did the doubler boiler method to cook the alcohol off on the porch. But it was a real pain.

I will see what silicon baking sheets cost.

I think the boiling point of alcohol is around 69°C aka 156°F, so a lot lower temperature than boiling water. I suppose some decarbing occurs at those temperatures. We used to boil it until the 98% alcohol was gone and then boil it some more to get rid of the 2% of water, and the results would knock you on your butt. Only had one flash and nobody got hurt. As noted, the fumes from boiling alcohol can be somewhat explosive so I wouldn't recommend boiling it. I decarb dry bud at 240°F now in the oven before I infuse it into MCT oil.
[EDIT: I looked it up, and ethanol boils at 78°C or 172°F]
