Always used at least a .38 when I had to do that in my younger days.....didn't want any chance that it wouldn't end them real quick. So, not so funny story.
I adopted a cat, who turned into the worst meanest cat I've ever had. No idea what happened. She was just mean as a horsefly.
She attacked one of my daughters. Totally unprovoked, just walked up to her and scratched the hell out of her face and arms.
After that I said ok, thats it, I'm putting her down. If I kicked her outside she'd just starve to death, and I'm not gonna rehome an animal like that.
So who would have known that .22 shorts will bounce off a cat skull?
I had to hunt down a wounded, angry, 20lb beast of a cat with something bigger, after it took off when the point blank shot to the skull didn't put it down.

I'd hate to see what Hollywood prices are, I was in South Los Angeles/downtown area and it was 280 plus 20 to watch plus 250 for ashes and a box and paw prints. I still have a boxer (mine) and 2 chihuahuas (my wifes). I don't think I could ever be without dogs.Yeah, my Uncle kept bitching about how a vet appt for his dog was $400. I'm like where in the hell are you taking your dog, hollywood? My vet visits are $40. Boarding is $20 a night.

We keeping the wife's chihuahua going right now to the tune of $73.00 a month for two heart meds and a diuretic.....she's doing OK on em but figure at the most the end of this year for her.
