Its about $100 - $125 where I'm at.

I usually don't have a problem putting an animal down, and I've dispatched plenty of feral cats and what not, but I can't shoot my own dog.

I'm burying her in the backyard right next to our cat we had to put down last September.
Lol of course I wasn't suggesting that, but I'm only 31 so when I tell my grandparents I paid 300 to put my dog down they about lost their mind haha total foriegn concept. I lost my 14 year old chihuahua a couple months back buried him in the backyard too. I feel your pain, sending good vibes your way!!

She's 10. We've not sure what she is a mix of. Collie, for sure. But she never got that big. She maxed out around 30lbs.

The last 2 years she's started slowing down, and we gave her CBD because we could tell her hips were bothering her really bad.

The last month its been very noticeable, we've known it was coming. And when she didn't eat her dinner, and had issues standing up this afternoon, I told my wife its time to make the vet appointment.
For arthritis and joints, shark cartilage. I sat with our last dog as he passed. He developed seizures and vet wanted 3000 to treat him, can’t afford that. So we hoped… in vain that he’d be ok but a few months later they just started coming rapid fire. One a day, then two, then 3 or 4 a day. We could usually soothe him out of it. Last time it happened, I called into work and sat right next to him til he drew his last. Soooo hard! I feel for you @Blue_dreamer !

So, not so funny story.

I adopted a cat, who turned into the worst meanest cat I've ever had. No idea what happened. She was just mean as a horsefly.
She attacked one of my daughters. Totally unprovoked, just walked up to her and scratched the hell out of her face and arms.
After that I said ok, thats it, I'm putting her down. If I kicked her outside she'd just starve to death, and I'm not gonna rehome an animal like that.

So who would have known that .22 shorts will bounce off a cat skull?
I had to hunt down a wounded, angry, 20lb beast of a cat with something bigger, after it took off when the point blank shot to the skull didn't put it down.

I put my dog down last year and even in low income areas it was 300 for the shot. I hear it used to be way cheaper to put your dog down.. So crazy, they even tried to charge me a fee to watch them put my dog down. Then offered to put the ashes in a box for another 2 or 300. Idk if everywhere is like this but that's how commiefornia rolls. Crazy to think people used to just drown or put a bullet in their dog when it got sick or didn't serve a purpose anymore.
$75.00 to pass my chihuahua on at the end of last year......but they been taking care of him since I got him 2002, was a great lil truck dog.

Absolute savage story, hell yeah. I laughed but I probably shouldn't have.

My chihuahua / Rat Terrier mix gets seizures. We figured out its from nitrates. She can't have people food. And if she eats even a tiny amount of ham or hot dog or anything like that its almost guaranteed she'll have one.
