Yup! Crazy AF move in my humble opinion. I didn't expect the naval base HMAS Stirling in Western Australia to homeport them, but I don't know that much about the naval ports.

I have been on several Aussie, Canuk and Limey surface vessels at Fleet Week at Portland Rose Festival. They used to use that as a kick off of a large joint operation.
I got my daily ration of 'grog' on several of the ships.
Other than the stupid long time being deployed, that was the only time I drank booze on a naval vessel. I forget the time requirement for being deployed without hitting a port, but we'd get beer on board for hitting that mark.
