Yeah it is starting to snow a bit heavier, about 8" so far, but this afternoon we are supposed to get several hours of 2-4" per hour snowfall.Still coming down I imagine it’s even worse out talon’s way View attachment 1573486
We got around 4-6” right now. I don’t think we’re supposed to get those heavy bands but you never knowYeah it is starting to snow a bit heavier, about 8" so far, but this afternoon we are supposed to get several hours of 2-4" per hour snowfall.

Hell no! Who's doing that? Electric Boat?Good morning @WildBill
I have been seeing a new commercial on tv,,,they need people to build advanced next gen submarines for the Navy........... Have you seen that?,,,,,,
With the new advances in nuclear fusion, it may not be far off. Substantially more power from a safer reaction in a smaller package. The navy also has a patent for a generator infinitely more powerful than either. Two units would be able to power the whole country with a machine that has the approximate footprint of a common dinner table. They also have that same generator powering an anti gravitational field around the power plant. Essentially making frictionless underwater travel possible. And cheap to power as well…Hell no! Who's doing that? Electric Boat?
I'd like to see an electric powered motor as the main propulsion. You'd have much larger SSTGs*and a bigger battery reserve. The secondary side of the nuke power plant could be simplified to a large degree.
The real question would be, is that new system as quiet as turbine driven system or quieter.
I really don't think much can be done to the primary side. It's not really significantly changed since ol Uncle Hymie settled on a pressurized vessel style of reactor. There's been metallurgy, shielding and rod system changes and improvements. Given some of the efficiency given up for a safer 'sailor-proof' plant, I can't see any large improvements in that area.
There are so many other systems that could be improved. That would be such a stimulating job!
I think it would be cool as hell to work on such a project!
