Really feel bad for you folks up in the North....I'll try not to stub my toes in my flip flops while wiping the sweat from my brow over the weekend.
1st day in tank, shorts and flops...:vibe:
hmmm. -40C on the top of the ski hill here, and you are in a Tee and flips? Hmmm. Something wrong wig dis picature.

Thanks @Bill.de.Cat, true that. Winter storm warning tonight, but the days are getting longer. Thinking about sprouting veggies to plant outside in May. The Great Lakes don't hardly freeze over any more. The muddy one at the bottom is Lake Erie, in my back yard. Where is @Frank the Dank when you need him with a chart of historical ice coverage:

I used to live across the lake from you, I think. Quite a while ago, as I recall, I was in about Grade 9. :pighug:

yeah jeez... hope he don't fall in the pool and get wet! :haha: :crying:
Wet at -40C might be a problem... For a little while. Until the breathing stopped.

Far too bloody cold for this skier. I went up yesterday, got to the top of the first Tbar lift and it was blowing so hard that the air was so full of snow that I could hardly see my skis. This was at an air temperature of about -20c, so the wind chill must have been close to -40C, but at the time the website was listing it at ~-27C or so, but I think that was before the wind got so bad. At any rate, I just shook my head, said so long to my ski buds, and skied back to the truck. I do not get on chairlifts under those conditions. The Tbar ride was just to get up to the chairlift.

Th -40C figure for today comes from the ski hill website. The only difference from when I was there, I think, is that the wind is now blowing like it was when I bailed yesterday.
