So this is probably a stupid question, but I changed doctors to a new primary care physician. My old one retired, and I didn't like the others at her former practice.

Anyways, new guy just had me take a crapload of blood labs, including a pee test.

Theres no way this can get back to my work, right? HIPAA and all that?

You should be fine. Doctor's won't talk to your job and they generally won't even do a drug screen with a physical unless you ask for it. If it's a physical for a job, like a CDL physical or something, then it's a different story

I wish I could say the same… my home bay has a nest on the end of the peirs and every year during mating season they get super protective and if you get too close they will dive bomb you… I have had them come way closer then I would like… Close enough to feel the air under there wings

Unless it's specifically a company ordered drug screen, not a chance. Usually for lab work like that they aren't even testing for drugs.
I'm not sure many companies even care these days... I had to do a hair test (no way I could pass that) and basically was told Good Enough

I'm SOL if I ever have to do a hair test. But its been 15 years and I've only been pee tested once, I got hit with a surprise one when I went on vacation to Jamaica. The week I got back I had to do a "random" drug test. lol. But since then I quit working blue collar and I'm white collar now. I've honestly not heard of anyone doing a drug test unless its a new hire or you were in a big accident on company property.

And if that ever comes up, I've got some high quality fake pee for faking the test.

Yeah, this was just for a new doctor. Just kind of caught me off guard when they handed me the pee cup.

I'll find out this evening what all they tested for when it goes on the patient portal.

I've taken probably a couple hundred piss tests for jobs and probation and fake piss is 2nd only to having a medical card And your doctor probably won't give a shit about weed anyway, they'll care more about your lungs. Doctors here will recommend weed before pills for some people for certain things and they'll just tell you to eat it or vape it instead of smoking it

My wife has her medical card, and is using the same doctor. He didn't care.
Our last doctor was super happy for her, she was like "I grew up in the 60s, I know that isn't gonna hurt you, and if it helps you get off some other meds, thats great." My wife was able to get off all of her depression and anxiety medication.
