When talking receptacles I always assume this.I was assuming less length than needing #10 and we know about assumptions! It is great to have a real electrician to help out with this stuff, you are a great help here.

I got my geeklights from china. Great lights with up to date tech and top shelf diodes. Might as well go to the source.Happy to help where and when I can! U got deficiency issues stay far away from my help…
However I’ve built lights of my own so can def help out there! FYI the driver part of pre assembled lights normally comes with multiple year warranty on it! Even my Chinese kingbrite lights only had 1yr warranty on the boards but 5yrs on the meanwell driver!

Every light I have had except the 1 I built are all Chinese lights! None of them have done me wrong yet! May be more of a pain if or when u need warranty help but prices def much better!

FWIW, that's actually an evolutionary trait from way back when and has to do with how it was dangerous to poop away from your village/camp/whatever cause you would be at risk of getting attacked by a predator in that vulnerable state.
