My thought was design something on the computer and then either try to sync to the printer via wifi or send it to my phone to print. That would give me way more design options in terms of fonts and illustrations. Bust a vector out on illustrator and then format it in indesign, save as a .jpg, and voila!

Not as much fun as the turn dial one i found in my moms box of old pre-kid stuff when I was a kid, but I figured these would stick better

Now that I think about it, I may go on a manic cleaning spree and label everything lmao. Could put where the thing goes on the thing, and what thing goes there on the place.

Trust me I know lol. I was in admin for several years and some of that stuff is really finicky. I used to amaze my bosses with my "huge knowledge base" re stuff I "knew" (aka knew how to Google) how to do. I got lucky and the machines I had available could do what I needed them to but I'm pretty sure that some printers say they can do things they can't. One time they gave me this huge stack of Christmas cards for our customers to address. They were shocked when I came back 20 minutes later with perfect calligraphy find a good font, bang out a template, and then its just a matter of importing the data and hitting print.
