Good Morfnoevight All! Happy TGIF.

We Did Think about getting a couple of geese are guard dogs for the land....but the thing is....Geese Hate me and I'm Scared of them.... :crying: .....

Saying that...the local ducks we bought are massive.....but they have just started their first lay...so the eggs are about the same size as the hens ATM.....

Have you ever been bit by a goose. :holymoly: It really hurts because they bite down hard and then twist. Yeowww!

Agreed I think I see multiple deficiency which leads me to think a lockout issue or soil is depleted. The root mass seems solid and filled the whole container or at least the top is solid roots. She is drinking almost 2 liters a day. Also it better not be Thursday

@Olderfart definitely agreed with your RO water theory and this is mainly a experiment. As I wanted to get away from FF products. And this seems like a nice base soil to start with. CoM tells me that I can use RO water the whole grow. But what I’m seeing is telling me something different.

I have not done any ph adjusting my RO water test 7.0- 7.5 ph.

This may be the source of your problem, RO water when exposed to air will drop the PH to 5.5 or less. Your pot is probably getting out of range.

The best thing to do is add 50PPM of Cal-mag to the water and let it sit overnight PH to 6.4 and then use it to water your plants.

Spent several hours yesterday doing this (plus a fifth meal that got cooked last night) I was exhausted by the end of it but thats 4 meals I don't have to think about in the freezer and ready to go directly into the pressure cooker from frozen, and I should be able to get leftovers from most of them as well. Going to try to do it once a week (next time should go faster since I'll know what I'm doing) since most days I have no energy to cook.

The difference a good peeler makes lol. 20 minutes to peel the one on the right and then I said screw it, drove down the road to my parents, and borrowed my moms. Potato on the left took like 2 minutes to peel. :face:

My Bruce is nearly to my shoulders now, mentioned to hubby that I may have to flower her outside. He is very strongly opposed to that idea and when I suggested maybe using the downstairs half bath to flower her in he was like "well its got good ventilation but what would you do for a light?" I've already mentioned that I'd like to get a Blackbird from @Les @HLG and he had already mentioned that my birthday gift was going to cost an amount relatively close to that of the light so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that that was already his plan lmao. All I know is she will definitely end up way too tall for the tent if she stretches the 2-3x her height that I'm anticipating lol. At least in the bathroom I should be able to tie her down without worrying about any other plants. :muahaha: would just need to figure out a way to carbon filter the air before it goes out the roof because from what I've heard she's quite a smelly lady. I don't think it would be too hard to attach an HVAC type carbon filter to the ceiling though.

RO water should be 7.0, but it is my understanding that pH meters typically are not capable of measuring accurately at this precise pH.

Anyway, good luck with it, I hope I haven't steered you incorrectly.

The issue of knowing what nutrients are still left in the soil mix later in a grow, and what consequently is needed to fix deficiencies is the main reason I am considering going back to coco. The trouble with soil, especially pre- mixed commercial stuff, is that once the mischief starts, you are in my opinion pretty much in for the ride. If you add the wrong thing, or too much of the right thing, things are more likely to get worse than better. In my recent soil grow, I got reasonable yield, but had significant issues throughout the last half or so of the grow. I just ignored them, and the plants did ok anyway in spite of how sad they looked. Had I tried to chase symptoms, I doubt that I would have helped things, more likely issues would just have become worse.

Just my 2 cents of course, there are lots of more experienced growers here, at least some of whom would disagree. :pighug:

Thanks for the rep @Mañ'O'Green! I've got a chest freezer sitting at lowes to pick up but we're going to ABT's Don Quixote tonight (#3 and I, that is) and then class tomorrow morning so its going to have to wait till Sunday.
