They also use google or 1 other 1 I’m not remembering atm! Depends on brand of tv! My parents just got a new tv couple months ago so I was tasked with looking into the features to compare them!

That's what my son normally does for us......:pighug:..it is a Great Service......

We gave up after a couple of hours Trying......plugged the oId TV back in....I've found an instruction manual and we'll try again tomorrow........ :pass:

It must be 7-10 year since we bought a new TV...I'm sure we didn't have to fan about with the last one......:crying:

@Mossy for newer tv’s the refresh rate and the upscaling in the tv has to do with how smooth the image is and how bright and clear the picture is when u are streaming what you are watching! Then the type of picture (4K, LED, ULED etc) has to do with the number of colors the tv can display! Also has 2 types of background black or white and couple diff types of backlighting used for how much the colors pop off the screen!

Yeah @Fermented_Fruitz ...it does something like that...:headbang:...co I was saying in the staff room....I've only ever gamed...once......:crying:...

Roku is really just a thing that keeps all the streaming apps in 1 place on the tv. Certainly not required but you can buy it as a USB plugin just like a fire stick. It really just puts it on the TV instead of having to cast from whatever to the tv via WiFi. This is what my Roku homepage looks like and I can scroll down and there's more of the streaming apps as you go.
