For most of the area, water was turned off....when it's turned back on....that's when bad shows up....
I'm just happy I didn't lose power and Pex was used in the plumbing during the remodel.
I would have cried if I had lost my girls!
I used 274 kWh on the -8*F day! I hate electric heat!

We're happy to have gas heat...pex does expand and contract so lot less problem....and glue- less repairs!
Our main roads are clear but some boonie lovers like me have challenging driveways...mine meanders through woods and across a creek, each end uphill....one bathroom drain freeze was our own worse thing....
Temps swinging after today will bring relief in some ways, & reveal more issues...
With wife being shuttled back and forth to her medical job, I just smoke a doob and play with my new dog.
Time for a break... :pass:

I'm showing off her tail today, it's a big deal:rofl:

This is one tough ass cat!

He's an outside cat. He's the last one left from a momma cat that adopted me a couple of years ago. I think the neighbor's Rotty got them. He's a year old and not a big cat yet, but he can hold his own against the one big feral cat that comes around sometimes. I tried to get his stubborn ass inside before the storms to no avail. He must have found a safe warm place to hide out and finally came out on Thursday.
This is him letting me know he's still hungry this morning!

Aw....she is a Cutie.......:pighug:.....great face.......
Pretty girl! I've had two Calicos and both were "characters".
ESPECIALLY Bobbie, the bobtail. She was a devilish little stinker. She would cause some issue with the other two cat and then act all innocent.
A VERY good mother though!
She is quite the character, we adopted her from the rescue, best decision I made in awhile...

I'm always amazed at the outdoor cats, the barn cats on the farm when I were a kid I was always amazed they made it through the winters but they did every year.
