Texas has the option to contract electricity at a fixed price or buy from the wholesale market at market prices. Those with contracts will not have much of a problem but those on wholesale can see an increase in prices during this storm of more than 10,000% .
My son is on the last year of a lineman apprenticeship started right out of high school and just had a 100k+ year. With no student loan burden. No slacker. I'm proud of him.
He had a break that not many in my extended family ever got in generations. Not growing up in the middle of alcohol insanity. I broke that curse.
I've always been rural and a member of a coo-op ever since I got outta the military. Very good prices and I still get money back from my first coo-op.Texas has the option to contract electricity at a fixed price or buy from the wholesale market at market prices. Same here on the co-op. We don't generate any. They buy from the grid. We are subject to fuel price flux. So far, we all get a nice credit every year.I've always been rural and a member of a coo-op ever since I got outta the military. Very good prices and I still get money back from my first coo-op.
My prices are set.
