I think I just became the worst parent ever
My child is 22 and has a migraine. She calls for sympathy and advice. Most pain meds cause her to have rebound pain. My very first answer was "more weed". At which point she says she might but has never used weed. She's in michigan too so it's legal but she isn't into mood altering substances. But she has a friend.. I mean me... Lmao I taught my daughter to pack a bowl. I never ever would have though I'd do this. But she feels better.

Pills are the devil! Was on pain pills 10yrs til 4/1/19 and recently was in hospital and they shot me up with so much morphine while I was there 2 days after release was in full opiate withdrawals! Reminded me why I quit em in 1st place and went back to smoking!

Narcotics are rough for sure. I'm allergic to most of them. Weed is bestie.

For real! I was mad when it started happening but glad they cracked down on doctors writing pain meds cuz I’d prob be dead had I not quit! By month 3 of getting pain pills I was getting 8 oxycodone 30’s a day so was rough! Now they make it where if dr writes u 60 pills or 600 to last a month u can only get 30 at a time! Wish they’d have done that sooner and prob wouldn’t have got so bad using them!

I'm glad you survived it . I have several friends who have been in rough shape after being on them long term. Fentanyl patches, oxy.. the works. Now they fight both chronic pain and addiction. My neurologist actually talked me into trying it lol. She deals with stroke and MS patients mostly but I got lucky getting her. I tell everyone I know to try weed before pills. Got off 3 anti depressants and 2 anti anxiety meds too. This shit is a live saver and game changer.

Pain meds have destroyed my kidneys, I have stage three kidney failure thanks to Darvocet and other pain meds stuffed full of Acetaminophen. And you all should be even more wary of so called "over the counter" meds, they are as bad or worse!

So never feel bad about introducing your children or anyone to cannabis. It's medicine and it's good for you, no matter what the reason you consume it is. It may have some negative aspects but they are very minor compared to ANYTHING pumped out by the pharmaceutical industry.
