Fast Buds Little Bear's Purple Forest (The Fastberry Diaries)

Hey dudes :smoking: LB here, excited to finally get rolling on these beans! Went into the water on the 1st (was an idiot and didn't check back in, thought we were soaking on the first). One has popped so far, still waiting on the the last two. Moved the popped bean into a rapid rooter plug, and tomorrow, installing into the hempy buckets.

This run I'll be utilizing:
2x 600w HP's
AN PH Perfect Grow, Micro, and Bloom
CalMag
Bloombastic as the finisher, may run ANs line as I feel these nutes out (first run). I've heard these take away half the battle (pH makes me its bitch) so this should be as hassle free as the last FB grow. I'm applying more TLC this run; I had not realized the importance of early life plant care. The first few days is everything with autos, and my experiences with photos made me blind to that fact for many, many cycles.

I remember these feeding heavy, may run some supplemental nitrogen at some point.

I'll take a picture of the rapid rooter and the still soaking seeds before I lay down May have an AC man in the house, will transplant into its final home tomorrow evening.

Here is the one lady in her plug, and her sisters still soaking (these must be tough little seeds!) Took them out and scarified them, then out them back in. Will most likely show tails tomorrow Other miss is already showing a tail, I'll pop her into her hempy when she sheds her cap. Decided on hempy instead of dwc, wasn't trying to fry any of these and have FB looking suspect I've had great success with hempys in the past, and I feel applying some of what I've learned from you guys might take this thing over the top

Sprouted bean is still heaving and doing fine, but I'm actually kinda surprised the other two haven't popped yet. Gonna give them one more day before I put them in the proper orientation in a rapid rooter cube, my old method. I don't like to touch them during the soak, for pathogenic reasons, but I'm curious to see if they may have drowned, and why. Will probably fish one out when I get home to see if they are waterlogged, I made myself worry Should be fine, didn't feel off when I scarified them in the matchbox, and they took the normal amount of time to sink.

Terrible news, and only a few days in!
I'm laughing on the outside, not on the inside.
So, the other two seeds DID indeed drown. They have that saturated with water texture. Took the out and put them pointed side down in rapid rooters, but I'm not very optimistic. Still no tails, I'm pretty sure this is something I have done but I'm at a loss to figure out what it is. I haven't always used a soak (for the longest I planted directly into Rapid Rooters, point side down or sideways if I couldn't tell), but I've only lost a single seed in this manner before (bagseed Bubba Kush I wanted desperately). I dropped the ball on this one FB dudes, my apologies.

I'm disappointed but not depressed, I feel like I shot myself in the foot as far as the competition, but I'm still stoked to see these pretty purple ladies (lady) grown out. If this is the only miss I get this run, well dammit, I'm am going to turn this fucker into a tree!

I can't get this miss to proc I feel like I totally fucked up on this run, my last remaining baby is small as hell for the age; her tap root hasn't even left the rapid rooter at this point.

I'm going to grow her out for the sake of the contest, but I'm thinking I'm going to purchase a new pack of Fastberry and start over. I understand this will disqualify me, but I can't feel good knowing the Fastbuds dudes went through all that trouble for me without any payout. It was hella cool what they did for the board, with the contest and all; kindness shouldn't be punished, even through misfortune. They at least deserve a grow journal for the effort, that was the deal. I intend to fulfill my part of the deal.

So, come Tuesday (waiting for some funds to clear) I will put in an order for the new seeds, will take a few weeks to get here but when they do, will immediately drop them so I can buzzer beat some of the longer running strains. Again, community, don't let this failure reflect on Fastbuds or their products, they are golden. This was Little Bear's fault, although I'm still at a loss as to what cultural practice I fucked up on. Live and learn, but dammit, so irritated.

So sad to hear bro but I totally respect you keeping the comp going with the one iv been through a few journals and ure not the only one who didn't get all 3 to sprout. Pm fastbuds I'm sure growing another 2 from another pack will knock a few points off but remember it's not just the plant growth were being pointed on there's 5 parts to this comp bro best of luck
