Indoor Lets do it again! No balls this time!

That is a good diagram. If you pinch too early, yes you lose the main cola. If you pinch after the plant is well into bloom you stimulate more growth. Autos like a pinch when well into bloom. Photos like it before they bloom. Since @Autoimmune has a tall pheno, the pinch would stop it in its tracks. Then the buds that are already developed, will speed up drastically. The cola is already at the right height. It will get a fatter main cola, and those arms will get to catch up. One little pinch will do all that.
Not disputing the plants you have grown but are you saying that those plants should be pinched now?? Maybe take off a bit/pinch the main cola??

@budelee If she wants to stop the vertical growth, then a pinch now would be a great choice. If she wants to let it grow out naturally, that would be a solid route also. There are a ton of ways to grow out weed differently, but there are certain things one must do and know for those desired results. The reason I was saying a pinch, opposed to a bend, was so that the cola would stay put. If you bend it, other branches are now covered. The pinch stops the main cola, and makes the others stretch up.
A pinch is just that. You are not plucking a whole bud off. You pinch the very newest growth off the top. A piece the size of a pencil eraser or smaller. Plant hormones cluster in the highest point. When you remove those, it allows the lowers to speed up. The natural growth control hormone, is how plants get that classic pine tree shape.
People can, and should question my grow techniques. I do lots of things that are generally considered bad practices. Many of those "bad" practices are my game changers. That is why I will explain why it works better, and show pictures. There is a lot of bad info out there. Be careful on the advice you take.

I got rid of the last photo periods I had left. Now I can focus just on autos. These are two Narcotherapy, one Sweet Soma and an OG Kush from Dinafem. They were on 12/12 due to a photo I needed to finish. Now I cranked the lights up to 18/6, my auto preference by far. The OG is to the right, and the biggest. The Sweet Soma is the front left, and the other two are Narcotherapy. They still need another two weeks I think.

All the leaf damage and discoloration is from mold I have been battling. I inherited an infected plant, and I live in a wet climate. The neem every week has kept it in check. Just sprayed them before these pictures.

My future grows will be all auto and detailed from day one. I can finally focus on these like I want to. I think of autos as a regular sativa or indica that has an automatic transmission installed. Removing any extra steps are my goals on an auto. The less you disrupt them, the faster and bigger they get. They are a drag racing car, not a Nascar or Indy.
My Big Bang auto indoor grow would be my best one documented on here, yet.

I'm gonna go with less is more this time around. I have yet to have a successful grow and this one is going so well I feel like I should just step back and let her do what she does. After a few successful grows I will feel more confident in trying different techniques. As my daughter says..I'll burn that bridge when I get to it
