Indoor Lets do it again! No balls this time!

A properly timed pinch will not stunt an auto. It will make it produce even more. The pinch is less stressful than a cola bending. The pinch is also the best way to make a weed plant focus on dense side branching.

If you pinch off the main, you are ruining the best bud on the plant. Split your cola into two, you get half sized buds. Pinching does nothing for increasing light penetration to the lower branches. With pinching, your branches will grow close together and compete with one another for light. Pinching and bending do exactly the same thing as far as breaking apical dominance and stimulating side branching. LST goes beyond that by maximizing light exposure to the lower branches. As far as which is more stressfull, I would rather have my neck bent than my head cut off. In nature, the winds blow and bend the plants naturally, this bending action actually works to give you a much larger main stem in which to transport nutrients from the roots. Everyone has their own opinons on all this, just use your common sense to make your decision.

I am speaking from experience, not theory. I do not give grow advice in a lite manner. Pinching at the right time will increase yield and potency. Sort of how everyone says you need to have RO or distilled water. Theory is all good, but results and experience are where it is at. Pinching will make the side branches grow at a much faster pace. Thus giving them a better share of the light, and the main cola will get extra fat.

Also, plants do not have a head or neck. They are nothing like a person. I bet if I cut off your finger and place it in some water or blood, a new person will not generate. That is like comparing apples to automobiles. Pinching will make the stalk get much thicker and more efficient.

Settle down my friend, I'm not condemning any thing you are saying, just giving a different point of view to consider. I have over 20 years of pot growing experience and a university degree in plant science and believe just as strongly as you in my reasoning. Great world that we can all freely express opposing points of view without people taking shit personally and starting wars.:pass::cheers:

I was not hurt, or trying to throw barbs. There was no personal attack or demeaning from anyone. I just wanted to make sure that people know that a pinch on an auto can be money. I hear people saying that it ruins them all the time, but that is when done wrong. If it is done to early, you will lose a ton of yield. If you do it at the appropriate time, then you get a scrog shaped plant, without all the time to train it in extended vegetation.

I give really to the point advice. Sorry if it came off as rude. I just do not like when people kind of, sort of, say their point. Advice and instructions are best when detailed and to the point.
