Outdoor Let the games begin : Season 4 DP, Dinafem, Sweet, Delicious

I actually make my own traction beds for sale. However, I manufacture them in China and it’s about 40kg per unit. Simple remote control home use traction bed. Can be used for both neck and back. Did not expect anyone to be interested in it here. Shipping will be very expensive so not sure if it makes sense. With the technical know how of peeps on AFN, I’m sure making one is not an issue.

Oh cool!! I despise the traction machine....every time i got out of that f'ing machine i wanted to grab the Doc and throw him through the wall, it hurt so frikkin much!! Thats a busted upper neck though....you feel like throwing people through the wall all day long!! ;) :D

I had such bad herniated disc that I could not even sit to eat. Even toilet trips on my own was hard. Nothing helped except traction beds. But the hospital ones are freakin expensive. There was NO auto ones available for home use. Screw the pump types. Ain’t strong enough to save your life!

The thing I hate the most is how they over complicate things and let you think it’s too dangerous to use by yourself! This is only so they can make more money from you. My model is simple and YOU control everything. The thing I experienced was, ONLY I know the strength I WANT! Not even the doctor or nurse knows better than me! So why the Fark am I not the one controlling it? Height and weight is bullshit. Everyone is different! I used to BEG them to increase force for me but they wouldn’t. In your case, force might be too strong.

So screw it. I hired some ppl to make me one. Then I mass produced it! $50k a unit and you can’t add a remote control for one man operation? Fark you! Mine is just $1k++ and works just as well, and u can use it on your own!

One more season, hopefully a good one!!

Those that follow my journals know i deal with some insane conditions(the plants almost got hit by a f'ing tornado last year!!), but they also know i make the best of it!!! ;) In a favourable season, results can be absolutely astonishing.

This season is going to be an all out photo grow, growing some of the finest strains out there, and as always I am trying some new strains. All plants will be started indoors under lights(8 under 100X3w leds and 4 under three 4 foot T5 flouro's) in 7"X7"(1.5 gallon) pots, and will be planted in the ground June the 1st at the latest.

8 plants will be going in the full sun garden which all plants are dressed with a cup of lime and also 2 wheelbarrows worth of horse manure to fuel vegetative growth. Megacrop will be used for flowering as well as vegetative growth before they go in the ground. Plants will be exposed to cold weather and also to intense sun before they go outside. 4 of the full plants will be started on April the first, and the remaining 4 will be started on May the first.

4 Plants started on April the 1st
Dutch Passion Think fast (3rd time ive run....awesome strain)
Dutch Passion BlueBerry (5th time run......a reunion with an old friend..didn't grow last year)
Delicious Seeds Fruity Chronic Juice(Chronic X White Widow...4th time run....awesome)
Sweet Seeds Green Poison Fast F1 (running this one first time, but hoping for a nice early one to spread out the trimming load a bit, love the regular green poison i did last year!!)

4 Plants started on May the 1st
Dinafem Critical 2.0 (first time run...can't wait!!)
Delicious Seeds Eleven roses (brand spanking new and wow does it sound A-1 for outdoor)
Sweet Seeds Green Poison (run once, excellent toke!)
Sweet Seeds Cream Mandarin Fast F1 (hoping for a speedy one here...I wanted to try this as i loved the mandarin orange smell on the CM auto XL i grew out last season)

The second garden is limited sun and plants only get 8 hours of sun tapering down to less than 6 by harvest. Generally i grow unproven strains in this garden, to see how i like them. Conditions are far more sheltered, but daily dews can present a problem as this location gets zero direct sun until just after 12noon.

4 Plants started on April the 1st
Sweet Seeds Crystal Candy (mmmm sounds good!!)
Bomb Seeds Widowbomb (grew one last year...excellent potent rock hard buds from limited light, and proper floral widow smell with a hint of fruit, decent mold resistance in rock hard buds from limited light made me want a regrow on this one)
Dinafem Blue Widow (grew one last year in the most limited light part of the partial sun garden...really a nice smoke...decided to try this one again!! If she performs well i might upgrade new season to a full sun spot next year)
????????????????? - I haven't decided on this one yet....I am seriously considering the new Dutch Passion Bubba Island Kush(if it will finish in time) but i do have some other options...other than those listed above i also have
DP Durban POison
DP Lemon Zkittles (pretty sure it wont finish in time though)
Sweet Seeds Cream Caramel

Okay so lets talk about my first 60 days....first thing is first sprouting..simple...in the stealth cab(80F and 20%RH) i will put seeds in damp paper towel and put them in a ziploc bag. I only leave them in there for 14-40 hours, and as soon as i see a 1/8" tap root i plant in the 7" pots of promix. The day i put the seeds in paper towel i will fill the pots with promix HP and soak with water until 10-20% runoff. Before i put the seed in, I first pilot a hole with a stiff piece of wire to ensure there is not sticks or anything that could interfere with easy penetration of the tap root. The reason i use the paper towel is because i want to know the seed is viable, and anything after that is all on me!!!! I plant the seed 3/8" to a 1/2" deep and cover over with straight dirt(not perlite), so I know exactly where the seed is in case it needs some help getting breaking through the soils surface.

Usually 3 days after i plant, the seedlings emerge...because of the initial soaking of the medium, i don't have to do anything for another 2-3 days. Once the pot feels light(usually day 5-7) I will start feeding with a cup of nutrients(2 grams of megacrop per gallon i think is a great starting point) every other day for a week or so.

On day 14 i will start giving them a liter per feed at 2.5 grams per gallon and let it dry out in between. Day 21 i give them 1.5 liters(just enough for a trickle of runoff) and go through the wet dry cycle. By day 28 they are ready for 3 grams per gallon, and by this point i will be watching for sensitive feeders watching for excessive darkening of the foliage and also nitrogen toxicity clawing.

I will continue to feed at 3ml per liter unless the plants are telling me its too strong , or a heavy feeder shows its too light of a mix for her needs. This schedule will continue through to day 60 when they are planted in the ground.

All of the training methods I use and much more information about my techniques are detailed in the Monster Training Guide(link located in signature)

What's up, brother? I jumped over here from the OCC thread to check you out. I didn't realize that you were an outside guy. Man....I miss that. I have grown the Fruity Chronic Juice, DP Blueberry and Dinafem Blue Widow; all great smoke. I have a Critical + 2.0 on the go now. It smells AMAZING!!! Great skills, by the way. I can smell your flowers through the screen! I will have to get up to speed on this thread. I just bought my ticket aboard the [HASHTAG]#912[/HASHTAG] train, brother. :peace:

Alrighty...woke up this morning and boom!! 6 of 8 were breaking through the soils surface....i dug a touch and the other 2 were just about there...had to remove 2 shellheads, one from the DP Blueberry and one from the Sweet Crystal Candy. Both came off well and now here we are 8/8 success!! 100% is just the way i like it!!
And its official its day 1 for all 8 plants!!
Congratulations my friend on your seeds!

Looks like our first OD youngsters are on the same day. I however have a mix of fems and m/f seedlings that have popped.
Several of my hacks both fems and m/f, and:
Mob x 2.
Fire OGK x C99a x 2
Manitoba Medicine x 7
PCK x 7
(Hindu Kush x Afghani) x Hindu Kush) x Afgan Kush Ryder x 7

Nice thread with great music!

Peace

Hey great to see you bud!!
Yeah i am 90% an outdoor grower. Though i dabble with indoor growing and have a fairly good handle on it, I am all about growing under the sun, even with the struggles!!

Ive grown the FCJ and BB several times and had some absolutely astonishing results from both, and i have grown the Blue widow once and loved it, so i though i would give it another try and see what happens!! Can't wait to see wait the Critical 2.0 can do outside!! Thanks for stopping by, lots of joints are on the table, so spark one up!!

Manitoba Medicine
Created by a grower who goes by the name of ‘Greens’. As Breeder Brad tells it, he gave Greens some Guerilla Gold [HASHTAG]#2[/HASHTAG] and Greens proceeded to use pollen from the GG2 to pollinate Freezeland females, creating the hybrid he named Manitoba Medicine.

Not much was made, and seeds quickly dispersed amongst the passionate northern outdoor growers of that time. Greens retired from breeding some years back to become a teacher. And the Manitoba Medicine all but disappeared.

Manitoba Medicine is a solid Indica of short to medium height that finishes very early outdoors. Its specifically for northern outdoor growers, and if your garden is much further south than 45N lat, it will most likely auto.

It is ridiculously potent and tasty. It’s flowers are very frosty and sticky, and often have a rather enjoyable sweet piney smell and taste.

The genetics of both its parents ( Freezeland and Guerilla Gold [HASHTAG]#2[/HASHTAG]) are accustomed to the rougher outdoor climate and shorter growing season of northern Canada. Being acclimatized for decades to far northern climates AND the fact that Guerilla Gold is in both parents of this hybrid, the plants do NOT like being indoors and can start to flower on an indoor light regimen of 24/0. If seeds are started indoors to get a head start for outdoors, it is imperative to match the indoor light period to what the plants will get at the time you plan to put them outdoors. Otherwise, They will most likely auto when put outdoors.

Plants Manitoba Medicine make BIG dense buds, but they are fairly mold-resistant. And because these plants are usually ready for harvest by end of August to first week of September.

Manitoba Medicine yields very well for their size, but plants are slow vegers. Typically most plants will reach a height of 3-4 feet outdoors, with some individuals going to 6 feet.

This strain delivers a fairly immediate and mind-blowing stone. The sweet and slight piney taste is intoxicating. Highly medicinal, this is a great early variety for northern or ‘short season’ outdoor cannabis growers. Harvest can start in mid August with some plants going into the 1st week of September, depending on your location.

NOT recommended for indoors. NOT recommended for latitutes below 45N.

Outdoor variety – not recommended for indoors
Flowering period: ~42-47 days
Height: medium
yield: high (for plant size)
Odor when growing: low/medium
Potency: strong medicine, potent
===========================================================================

I plan on making fems this season with these.

Peace

Hey @912GreenSkell , the old school runs deep with you, brother. I dig it. I'm 53. I am from the 15 minute single era. I love old rock, funk, soul music. (Moody Blues, War, Three Dog Night, Parliament Funkydelic). I just love music.....period. Haven't read the entire thread yet, but along with being a serious music lover, do you also play? I play bass and cello, just as a hobby, but doing it since I was in my teens. Don't have a cello right now, so I'm teaching myself rhythm and lead guitar.

The gear is not fancy, but enough for having a good bit of fun. :peace:
