Have done my research now. Now I understand more.

My panel has a 90 degree viewing angle, meaning the light beams are vertical.

Then I would think a panel with mixed 90 and 120 degree angles would result in better light conditions to the sides of the tent. Is that correctly understood?

Keep in mind, the narrower the beam, the greater penetration but a smaller area is covered.

^ Or the higher you need to hang the light for the desired coverage.

I've got 4 of the Mars 300s from eBay still running. I can't speak for the leds but the case is sturdy, the fan is quiet, and the drivers keep going at 24/0 for over a year now. On their own they will cover about a 1.5'x1.5' space to flower under.
