I'm only 4 weeks into my first grow but already building a second spot in the basement.I did bought some cheaper LED for my 2x4 tent but would like better (of course!) for my new space i'm building.Space is gonna be 4x4.
What's the best bang for the buck LEDs that you would recommand? Open to all brands and styles and don't want to spend more than 400$US .
Thanks guys!

Couple issues, your $ to the amount of square feet. 400$ is going to be marginal lighting In a 4x4.

Only thing I could find that comes close is the mars ts3000 and it's a little over your amount.

Personally I'd rather spend it on a quantum board with Samsung diodes that covers half, and get a second one later.

Remember, 25w of quality led per sq foot for auto. If photos are in your thoughts, up that to 30-35w. I run 450w of diy cobs, right at 28w per square foot in a 4x4. Photos I tend to stay within a 3x3 footprint.

Thanks @Arthur!
What do you think of this lamp? i could reduce my footprint to 3x3...and it's budget friendly! :)

I've never run Mars equipment, went from hps/mh to diy cob. Many here on the board use them, I know they are a vendor, go nose thru some of the grows running and see what you think. Being involved in our community makes me more comfy.

there's your answer bro - same quantum boards, same components that you'd be buying in the US or the EU for that matter - better......cheaper to go straight to source - even with shipping you ought to come in within budget.

You need 12 of those

You need 1 of these

Scroll to the 4x4 guide for bridgelux and follow the guide. You can use 1/8" aluminum strips for heat sinks. That build should hit you for around $400. I grow using that build and love it. The driver has a built in dimmer. You'll want a 12ft computer power cable to plug the light in.

This is DIY but it is fairly easy to do and the payoff is worth it.

Thanks guys!
I've decided to go with 2 Mars Hydro SP 250 (Yep,i busted the budget! ) and thinking of building a 4.5 x 4.5 grow room instead of 4 x 4.
You guys think the SP 250 can handle the extra .5 ?
Having some extra room to move around would be nice...

QB96's are on sale for $75 right now. Awesome lights!!

Extra 6" equals an extra 4.25 sq feet.
