Indoor LED advice sought

Seems like a good plan Chester :) Are you doing some LST or just the plants branch out like that on 1 and 2 picture ? Wish you good grow :smokebuds: With my plants everything is ok, except that yesterday i had a invasion of some kind of a worms :( The basterds ate some part of one of the leaves, and the thing that pissed me of is that they eat of the new growth leaves :X So i sprayed my plants with Nurele D it's a insecticide for fruit worms, grasshoppers, trips and a lot of other bugs, hope everything to be allright

Bugs can be a real problem. Early in the grow like this I'd just mist lightly w/ Raid Home and Garden ... I wouldn't do it to leaves I was planning to smoke. I have LSTed the auto Blue Mystics as much as possible. The first two days I used the LEDs on these plants they doubled in size and have been blooming well almost since the switch. I've been trying to get some control by shaping the plants. The one NL is still not doing much but it's healthy .... I have trimmed it and removed a few fans to open it up. It is the first plant in the post above, still under 6" tall ... I planted another of my NL seeds. I figure if it also stays small then it was a bad batch of seeds I'll either move the NLs outdoors when I leave or just have the two plants under the two LEDs ... either way I should get some harvest, perhaps not much but I can't smoke the seeds ...

DO NOT USE RAID! Use neem oil if you can, on both sides of the leaves, once every three days.

I's also avoid that nurelle d, here's a link to the toxicity study.

If you're getting catapillars use a bt solution. Completely harmless to humans but will ravage larva. With cats you can also just pick them off by hand.

Very interesting resource ... Thanks
My NL is not an auto and should be about 12 inches tall by now, normally I would have started it flowering 7/21 ... Some of the auto Blue Mystics would be 2 feet tall if I weren't LSTing them, two are short but I'm LSTing them too .... I'm anxious to grow them again since they have been very hardy and are budding up nicely. These five probably won't yield an oz but I believe I can get nearly an oz per plant under optimum conditions. This ABM broke ground 6/21 and has been blooming about 2 weeks. It was under 4" tall when I switched to LEDs about 3 weeks ago.

I'll stop using Raid ... Thanks for the tip ... :bong:

I really wish there was a reliable resource regarding the correct amount of light required to grow healthy plants w/ LEDs. I've heard 40watts min per sq ft but I have a feeling that it's a lot less. Any light that hits the ground is wasted. Before I moved the second light in I was having good results w/ 1/2 the wattage that I'm using now in the same space ... a lot of LED companies rate their light based on about 25 watts / sq' ... such as 100 watts covering 4 sq' ... if anyone knows of a reliable source please share a link.
Thanks ... :bong:

The Auto Blue Mystic appear to be entering the stage where the fans turn yellow and die off. These are just short of 8 weeks today. Two appear to be a little slower and are also a little shorter, but are still budding nicely. The Northern Light photo has still refused to grow and will be going outdoors soon. As you can see from the one photo ... LEDs can grow frost on a bud ...

And to mention only the bites and the mutation on the leaves is from a little worms that i found on their tops a week ago(little basterds :@)

Welcome to AFN. I wouldn't be too concerned about transitioning from one light to the other, just go ahead and make the switch when you get your new lights. I would keep the autos on the veg spectrum until they stop their vertical growth, usually around week 6. Take a look at this thread, it should give you a better idea of what to expect from your autos. https://www.autoflower.org/f44/life-cycle-auto-flowering-cannabis-5113.html.

Hate to say this but the price on that UFO is outrageous at $369. A 240 watt Black Star can be had for about $275. I also think that 100 watts won't be enough for 5 plants, more suited for 2. You might consider cancelling your order if you still can. We can recommend some better lights that are stronger and cost less.

I'll second that mudds,.............these are a very nice uk option and guaranteed for a good while,,,,,,,,,quantumled.co.uk.............evader 135w is very similar but better specs !!..........and a bargin..............Autoberry.........

Nice looking plants PepS ... I just ordered 10 more ABM seeds and 5 ANL seeds ... I really like the Blue Mystic, I can't wait to sample it ... should be about a month until the first bud is ready to burn ... I'm convinced the fact that my NL refuses to grow is my fault. I plan on putting it outside this week, hopefully nature will provide me w/ a bud or two off of it ...
