I have a La Diva and a Pandora. Same soil and same age. Pandora excellent health. However, the La Diva is showing yellow tips ( and extending into leaf on some) on "new leaf growth around flower sites." Old growth not effected. Have perused my grow books and material herein and cannot seem to diagnosis--specifically to new leaves next to flower sites.

Has anyone grown La Diva and had to adjust feeding/watering/supplement in any manner. Appears to be more sensitive than the Pandora in the same medium--Roots Organics.

Ph is ok. Feeding modest. Watering adequate. Run-off PH fair, but not affecting plants, e.g. Pandora. Will adjust PH up on next watering.

Problems doesn't appear to be getting worse. May improve with first real light nute feeding last night.

Lastly, the La Diva began flowering very early. Is now smaller in stature than the Pandora but now slowing down in growth--relatively speaking.

Added --- Picture of most effected areas --- see page two (2) --- thanks all.

Haven't grown la diva but her genetics are diavolo and blueberry I believe. I have grown diavolo and she is very nutrient sensitive in my experience Alan.

sounds like cal mag deficiency to me, or possibly sulphur. off the top of my head those are the ones that can make new growth brittle and light yellow.

I would water with pH'd epsom salt (magnesium sulfate) solution at 1/2 tsp/gallon of water, but look around a bit more to make sure.

Hey Alan how ya doing mate? Nice to hear from you on here - i saw your post on the chat so i thought i'd pop by. Are you getting browning at the tips of the flowering tops? are they turning golden? - this could be indicative of the first stages of plant senescence, sometimes the plants will have a genetically programmed death (determined by age) and will turn regardless of their level of maturity, this is usually due to the timely release of high levels of ethylene and reproductive-termination hormones usually regulated by the metabolic system - some plants have little control over this :( you say she began to flower early - how old is she approximately? and what are the breeder's maturity time recommendations?

DubV - Thanks for input.
Mattinuk3 - Thanks for diagnosis--possible direction to look at.
Trifid - Apparently, La Diva is a very fast seed to harvest at 45 days outdoors. Consequently, flowering would have began fairly quickly around 20 days or less if I remember correctly. Nevertheless, when it started it was almost overnight and was vigorous, at least, a full week before the Pandora. And it is under LED 24/0; however, the light is adjusted properly. This may be causing the plant some consternation. No browning nor gold color, fortunately--just yellow--and flowering tops are not in bad shape. Did notice one older leaf with a spot on tip. She is growing steadily, and I may have misstated myself above, because, just looking she is branching out nicely and appears to be trying to meet that "45 day dead line." BTY--you are fairly easy to find--always look at the chat box. I appreciate your quick response. Breeder is Delicious and La Diva (cross Blue Berry with Diavolo) is often a freebie with an Attitude orders. Cheers.

Trifid - Attitude description states 49 days under 24 hour light seed to harvest.

Do you know of any grow logs with someone actually harvesting in that time?

I have a vertigo that is doing the exact same thing, the very tips of the leaves nearest where buds are starting are yellowing.my la diva is growing like a champion, isee why they say 45 days outdoors, mine started flowering I think around 15 days in.:pimp:

And it is under LED 24/0

Alan. I am by no means certain of the effects of what a 24/0 light cycle might induce on the plant, but it's tempting to suggest that it may be the result of a defensive photo-pigmentation response - triggered by the added light stress intensity on the plant, and if this be the case, it may be likely to have only a minor negative significance for some growers. From my understanding of autos (which is limited), although they remain photo independent, they are still photo-responsive and thus ultimately would require a dark period to some extent to allow for various important fluorescence bio-chemical processes to be completed. For example, important gas exchange parameters undergo evolution during the transition from the light to dark period. If the plant is deprived of the dark entirely- it may well be the case that the plant's advancement to maturity and senescence is accelerated by enforcement of the 24/0 cycle - shortening the growth cycle considerably. This would in effect, serve to magnify the the result of their early flowering characteristics and their earlier age/chemo-dependent approach to maturity as indicated by your onset of leaf abscission. What's your thought on this Mc.Gregor?

I'm sure riz has been running his lights 24/0 due to the cold temps in his loft and he has just harvested some nice big yields mate,Im currently doing the same to maintain temps
