Stopping by to layeth the smacketh down . Here is a quick look at the babies and the smallest one will be standing tomorrow morning. The girls were placed directly under the 600 lighting about 2 feet away. All 4 PB's above ground, 3 LP's up and 1 to go.:peace:

Looks like ur gonna have some colorful ladies bro. Purp Dom playboys.

Do any of you plant directly in soil? I've never had any issues with even the most stubborn just planting it in the soil and keeping it moist... I think if more folks just planted in soil they would have better germ rates. I used to germ in paper towels.... Lost countless seeds or had "duds". Then I started planting right in. Almost 3 years straight and never lost a seed...

Mother nature does it that way.. good enough for me! Lol

The only way to go !!! If you ask this humble grower...

I do a lot especially with autos. And believe the same concept.
But a lot of people do it in towels hence my stubborn seed thread..

I don't know why I have never planted Cannabis seeds directly in soil before in my whole 18 months of growing. I have grown veggies, herbs, and flowers for many O year sowing directly in soil without a hitch.

I knew one of the LPs wasn't going to germ using the 'paper towel method'. I decided to try another one directly in soil after soaking in water with a bit of liquid kelp. It popped up the same time the ones I started earlier in paper towels. So, this novice grower is now a convert of sowing directly into soil, as I have been having more and more germ problems using the 'paper towel method'

Everyone's babies are looking great!

Peace.

When I sit and think about the genetics and money I wasted "germing" in paper towels... It's just not a natural environment. When it grows in the wild the mother plant doesn't go get paper towels or whatever and germ her seeds lol they eventually dry on the plant and fall off... And germinate naturally and grow.

I have a Buckeye Tree by my creek. Couple days ago I saw two Buck nuts split open and taproots sticking out in the mud underneath the tree itself... So I just moved them to two separate spots and stuck em where I knew they would be better suited.. checked on em yesterday and wouldn't ya know I got two seedlings! Anyway... I just wish more people would try it.. I think breeders would get less grief too... I sometimes think its not always the breeders fault when sees don't germ... Anyway sorry for the hijack! I'm done now! :D

I don't think it was a hijacking of the thread. . Experience and advice is anyways nice to here, and the main reason afn out shines the rest of the forums. [emoji4]

When planting directly into the soil, does the seed have to be facing a certain direction?

Big boys who have published books--say pointy end down--if direct to soil.

Yet--they point out in the end it doesn't matter. Gravity and sustenance (water seeking) drives roots down--they have no where else to go.

Good luck on your new deal--Carlos.

Got to see you.

Cheers
