Indoor Just got my first hydro grow on a roll.

So far they all go through 5 gal a week or more and my ppm only drops 400 to 600 and ph will climb to 6.7, I stopped playin the EC and pH game after the first grow. I'll check it when I make a new batch of nutes and clean the tub along with the ph, which when I do I get my ppm at 1410 to 1460 and drop the ph to 6.0 to 6.3 and let it go for the week. The GH floragrow, micro, and bloom along with Diamond nectar and Koolbloom drop the pH from 7.8 tap water down to 6.8 and then I use ph down to get it lower. The Dynagro Protek that I use actually bumps the pH up if you overdose it, meaning if you go on the high side of there dosage. It says to use 1/2 to 1 teaspoon /gal, I've gone to a 1/4 tsp and it has made a difference in the stalks and stems. Since I germ'd these I have stuck pretty much with what they say you should do about feeding them, went 3.5 weeks on pH 6.2 tap water, then started grow nutes at 1/4 strength, at 4.5 weeks went to 1/2 strength, at 5.5 weeks switched to bloom nutes at 1/2 strength and now I'm at full strength. Been runnin my lights at 20 on and 4 off and all I see are pistols at each node and branch site and I have had to raise my lights once a week as they were growing into it until I LST'd a few. The one plant in the middle of the tub is stuck straight natural as the stalk is the size of a nickle and the branches are rigid as a no. 2 pencil. And I'm only growing with 312watts of CFL's mixed half and half 2700K and 5000K.

That's killer man. So you only screw with it once a week. Awesome. I'm using the FloraDuo. From what I hear it's basically the same but only a two part. A lot of people do the "Lucas" formula with the GH nutes. 1:3 bloom and micro and it changes to 1:1 and then 3:1. They don't use the Flora Grow at all and get BADASS results. I'm sure you know what I mean with the ratio's. Anyways, the FloraDuo is basically the GH's Lucas formula. So far I'm liking it a lot. No salt residue at all ever, and it's really thin. I've heard some other nutes are pretty thick and sticky and leave a lot of salt residue. I have no complaints at all with it fo far.
How the hell do the plant's live for 3 weeks with no nutes at all? I've used small amounts of nutes (super small) right after germination.

Seedlings don't need nutes as they live off themselves, the cotiledens have stored nute and foods that seedlings need for the first two to three weeks. That is why they say don't feed them nutes right away, about the only thing I do is .5 mL of Superthrive and drop my water pH to 6.0 and keep the seedlings in a clone dome till I have real roots comin out of the rockwool. That way I never damage the tap root when I transplant.

Have to agree with you on the GH leaving no salts or very little if any as I haven't had to scrub my air stone yet. I know my plants look better this time around and haven't slowed down yet just wish they would flower.

Sorry for the shit pictures, had to use the computer. The TD's and Skunk are around day 30 and the rest are around 8 weeks. Things are going good. The plants all look sad because I brought them inside earlier. During the day they almost look twice as big with all the leaves pointing up. Got two 600 watt MH/HPS combo lights coming. Digital ballast, and dimmable from 50-75-100% so it gives me plenty of options on power between the two of em. One should be here tomorrow so I brought everything inside. It's about time to pimp smack these plants with 12/12 and force them to show me their genitals. :ama: So far only one has shown sex (WTF?) going on over two months here... At least then I can cull the males and get these back outside somewhere. No point in wasting nutes, and growing attached to males. I set up a drip irrigation system for feed, and watering. Took a 5 gallon bucket, drilled 10 holes, put in 3/8 ID grommets, ran 3/8 OD tubing to each plant, pinched off the end, taped them in a circle, and cut water holes with scissors. They work great. Should have went with black tubing, but I got lazy. If I have any problems I'll buy some black. So, to feed I just make up 2 5 gallon buckets of nutrient and dump it in. The table they are on is tilted with a drain on one end and it drains very well. Almost too easy. Can't wait to get both lights. Ordered one a few days after the other, but one should be here tomorrow and work to get these to show sex. Should be getting 8 more AutoMazar, and TD seeds in the next few days so as soon as these photos show sex this room will be fully auto :head:

The whole shebang. Skunk on the right, and then TD's going back and to the left. Around 30 days. Left of the skunk is the only one to show sex (female) LST'd her and she's responding good with shoots all pointing up and growing faster, larger and putting off hairs. The rest to the left of that are all unknown.

My new feeding/watering system. Just fill the bucket and let er rip.

Nother picture of the Skunk in front and the TD's going back and to the left.

Top view of the LST'd female.

Ruined a damn smoke taking this picture.

The spiral staircase. The place is a trainwreck right now with the remodel. We're going to replace the carpet on the stairs, and then cover the spiral with some cool pleated fabric. It should be bohemian greatness when it's done, lol. It'll be nice.

Looking good dude! Cool setup you got there, man. :D

Thanks Squid. Did you see the size of that leaf? I don't know what's normal, but I've never seen one that big in person before. I'm happy with it so far. I'll get some better pics up soon.
Peace.

The one with the loosey laying on top? Yes, that is a large leaf, sir. Awesome stuff.

You have got your hands full, remodeling has to be a pain, but fun...lol. Plants are lookin AWSOME. I know what you mean about puttin all that effort into growing and finding out you got "males". My GF still doesn't get it, and wants to smoke it all, I keep tellin her they just don't produce much of what she wants. Of course I don't want bag shit seed mixing with the high priced seeds I'm growin.
