Indoor Just got my first hydro grow on a roll.

Well you won't be copying me as I saw someone else had the same set up and they grew to completion it the same tub. Just thought I would give it a try.

Hey all. Nother update. Changed things around quite a bit. I'm a globe trotter. I love to travel. We make decent money at home so we travel back and forth quite a bit without restraint. Home is wherever Me, my girl, and my cat is, lol. I'm lucky both of them are the same way. We're not total vagabonds (we have a property up north, and one down south) we just like to bounce around.
Anyways, that being said I couldn't keep up on the DWC plants the way I would like to right now. Summer is coming up and it was getting hard to control temps even indoors so I transplanted everything into 3 gallon pots filled with coco coir and put them outside in the makeshift greenhouse. Growth has really picked up on them. Starting to get branching on every node, and all the plants are doing pretty good without much attention. I've fed them when they were transplanted 3 days ago, and watered them once. Keeping ph at 5.8 and EC at 1.5 and so far it's working out good. I got a little nute burn from letting the nutrient solution get on some of the lower leaves, but they bounced back good.
I also germed my 3 TD beans which all sprouted nicely in rockwool. Used some root stim, and 1ml gallon of nute so soak the cube. It's been only 3 days and one is showing a taproot. I plan on putting them all into soilless this time around. I have not given up on DWC! I still have the setup, and will use it soon when I know I'll be here for a while and have time, and money to properly control the environment. I've got some Digital Temperature controllers I've ordered for another project. I will be ordering more. Programable to control and AC unit, and a heater with adjustable differential, and the same with humidity being able to program for a humidifier, and dehumidifier. They're said to have 10-20 amp relays(depending on model) built in, but we'll see about that. I have a feeling I may have to run some solid state relays from the controller to switch the big loads, but they're only a few bucks and it's easy enough either way.
Here's a link which runs it down. It's the STC-1000
Here's a link if anyone is interested in using one of these. They're only 23.00 with shipping.
Anyways, I'll upload some pics of the plants tomorrow. Let me know what you think about the controller. I've looked at hydro shit, but nothing under a few hundred dollars at least will control both heating, and cooling with such flexibility and control. Also, all the hydro humidity stuff I've found is for a DEhumidifier only and still pricey as hell.
Let me know what ya think.

Oh no, I'm running the TD sprouts on .5 EC. Everything else is at 1.5. I'll get some pics up tonight.

So where are the pics of these new babies? here's a shot of my 4 week old baby Blues Next Grow G 011.jpg this one just popped some pistols Next Grow G 006.jpg

Those are beautiful man! None of the plants I started have shown any signs of sex yet :ama: I've only got a shitty cam until tomorrow. Tried with an LED headlamp which was a no go, so I got out the 100 foot extension cord. Everything is outside in a makeshift greenhouse. They look a bit sad at night when the temps fall 65-F. During the day they are perky and stout. I have three smaller plants all 11-12 inches (the ones I started in DWC then put into coir) and three bigger plants 14-16 inches (started and kept in coir). Got this weird leave mottling going on on a couple plants. They just look deformed, I don't know. Greenhouse smells nicely of sweet skunk. I'll get some better pics up tomorrow along with some pics of the Think Different in coir. Got those in 7 gallon pots with a 100 watt Metal Halide until they can be put outside. Toward the end of the TD's life I'm going to start back up the DWC buckets.

Nice brother. Looks like they've been stretching a lot outside reaching for that light. Might end up with some tall girls aha. What day are you on by the way? My auto showed pistils pretty early recently but some take longer

The larger plants are on 32 days, and the smaller ones are about a month and a half. I'll have some real pics up tonight.

Those plants look nice for being outside and as young as they are. Give them another week or two and you should start seeing something around the 4th or 5th node. Reall hope to see those TD's I mmay have to try them after watching how yours do.

Happy Growiing!!
