Here where I'm at (coast of Alaska) 99% of the time it's the U.S. Coast Guard on maneuvers or something. Hopefully not a rescue. They do have law enforcement capacity but it's been a while since they hassled us about weed. It was a real big deal during the zero tolerance daysI live ina poor neighborhood. They come around once or twice a year blasting their loudspeaker, describing the suspect, telling us to put animals indoors. One time, I heard the loudspeaker saying, “It is illegal to fly a kite within 5 miles of an airport! Pull down that kite! Pull it down right now!” Yeah, I guess they couldn’t just send a car for that.
