Had a bit of a problem with my PC the other day. Most (4TB) of my data is on a crappy built in RAID, and one of the drives is flaking out. The virtual machine I use for AFN is, well was, on that RAID.

I've recently invested in a new external device that is more reliable, and with all new hardware, and just now got my AFN VM set up again.

I'll try to do an update to my grow thread maybe tomorrow. Lots of data to move before the old RAID implodes.

See you all soon!

Careful man. I used to be a photographer and I lost my main photo HD a year or two ago. 15 years of photos from national parks, festivals, etc... all gone.My wildlife folder alone had 20,000 photos in it. It's all probly still on the drive, but the drive is dead. Backup Backup Backup.

Good morning Stoners! :toke:

It's a great day in my neighborhood. Won't you join me? :pass:

Lovely day indeed @E Grower ...oh this is yesterday. Today's a little greyer but still not bad:cheers:

The old RAID had one parity drive, so it could survive on drive failure. The new one has two. I am also syncing things to dropbox and google drive where I can.

I have lost too much data in the past to not make backups!

There are some sacrifices but I haven't had to give up a body part yet:haha::rofl:

Hi pal ,, Vista is looking serene
