Sweet Seeds Jack47XL; 1st Autogrow

Hi there,

my first attempt at auto flowers, first time growing in small tent. i wasn't growing for 12 years, only grew photos and only in the basement where I was using whole rooms, not just a little tent in the living room There are 2(3) Jack47XLs the tent + 1 mutant J47XL (and 2 Fruits, but they have their own thread). Original post can be found at GD.. (I know that they are almost curse word around here )
Veg was ok, but after they switched to flower they really started to stretch. After the HPS switch temps trouble came, had to keep it like 65 cm above the canopy for 2 weeks so the internodes got a little FKDUP . They were even in 34°C for 4 days... Then I switched to better exhaust and from like week 6 were at stable 25C...

First seed came out mutant, but I re-potted it to cca 2l bottle for experiment
Second seed got twins, left them in one pot ..
Third seed popped because of the mutant, so it's about week later then the rest of the tent .. and the third seed was finally normal one ok looking plant
Preflowers showed : Mutant J47XL day 26; Jack47XL TWINS day 16; Newbie J47XL day 21


setup : 250MH veg 250 HPS flower; 60x60 DS60, 7,6L airpots
nutrients : Vitalink silica max; Jungle INDABOX A;B+M; Atami soil booster; Atami root juice

I thought that I will harvest one of the Twins(as its the ripest from all grls in the tent) last saturday which would've been day 65 from seed, but the trichs are still not where I want them (they are like 6% amber;80 milky and 20% clear), so I decided to give her another few days, so she'll get down till day 70 ideally (thursday), but I think it will be like 72 ... Newbie Jack will need at least two more weeks and Mutant about the same, maybe few days earlier .. But I'll let the trichs to decide this

I will update this thread when its next photo time = wednesday..

as for the pictures .. number in brackets is the day from seed got above the substrate..

Nice work. You'll enjoy the smoke.
Did an Auto Jack 47 (not the new XL) outside a couple of years back.
Went well, one of the better of 8 plants total, in poor light and bad weather.
High is very balanced, nice hybrid.
Heavier than I expected.

thx Im so excited to the harvest, I always hated this "last weeks waiting game" .. I think that I will get more airy buds that I would like to because of all the troubles I prepared for them, but I'm quite happy with this test/first round, I expected more issues and it worked out nicely in the end...

Hi to all,
So as I promised, next photo session was today as well as watering .. So few more pictures. Amber trichs still not there yet (still need like 4-5% more), but smaller J47XL from the Twins will get down this saturday no matter what. 8% or 10 % aint that much of a difference ...
I will update pictures from the harvest and wet weight over the weekend ..

Thx Apolo I always loved JH and AK47 the most from all strains (serious seeds only, as they have the proper oldschool versions I love and because I am old school smoker/grower ) so this is like dream mix for me and big thx to your breeding team for this combo From the "test" bud it seems like really strong strain, got me really, really high for few hours, and I can say that I'm experienced smoker . Test bud was taken on day 65 . Even without proper drying or curing it had strong citrus smell & fruity->flowery taste... Im drying another small bud right now so Im already eager to get home from work

so I wont be making any more tips about the harvest, because the girls have different opinion so fk it ..

Mutant Jack47 started to get amber like a lot, probably realised that its old as F and should finish already It wont be much, but that seed will pay for itself + few Gs as a bonus, my tip is 16g dry for this mutant .. not much but better then nothing I took some test bud yesterday(8g wet) so will see and if its ok, Ill just wait for the soil to dry a bit and harvest.

Twins Jacks47 are finally getting there, I also found small mold part inside the biggest bud on the smaller of the twins, so same as with Fruit2, I cut it out and will monitor the situation, if it spreads its getting down tomorrow, otherwise Ill wait for the soil to dry out (it takes 4 days now for the twins to dry as its not drinking that much lately) and then chop, trichs are almost there like 1-2 more % amber.

Newbie Jack47 .. bulking up and growing ok, maybe its too close to the lamp, but its like 60 cm high now (J47 not the lamp ) so the space is limited I'd say 2 more weeks for this later one, but again no tips, waiting for the trichs .
