No biggie, just curious.

OK, should have been more specific.

I'm not sure where on the scale trichome development is. I harvested the top of this plant almost two weeks ago when the buds on that section looked like my first picture. To me, I don't think there are any clear trichomes, but the degree of cloudiness seems to vary a little. I'm not sure what that means.

I don't see any amber though.

I would personally wait a little bit longer

Thanks Gary. Can you tell me why? I'm just trying to get a handle on trichome evaluation and how to match that against where the plant is in thc development and the development of other terpines that change the affects of the buzz. To my eye, the buds in the first pic are close to max thc, but I really have no experience in this.

I prefer less of a head high that's the only reason if you want max thc it would make sense to harvest it soon or now when they start getting amber that means thc is starting to degrade into cbn. Really it's mostly preference to what you like.

Thanks for the reply Gary. I actually have no preference as I am only the grower. Haven't smoked in years, but I really like growing things and I get a real kick out of actually being able to grow legally now.

Here's another picture taken this morning. It looks to me like I'm finally seeing some amber (red arrows). Am I right, or is it just my imagination?

Interesting, thanks. Does cold weather affect the final bud development? we've had cold nights, between 7 and 12 C and cool days for the last week. This is a balcony grow.

That cold weather has me wondering if I should just harvest or if I can go a little longer.

I actually want to leave one branch until it gets quite amber and then, um, experiment on the recipient of the grow to see how he feels about the different levels of development. My first harvest from this plant was earlier in development: partly cloudy, partly clear trichomes, no amber.

That would be smart to try you could always snip a small bud off and see how he likes it.
