Anyone use regular plastic pots to grow autos indoors?

I got mine from buildasoil with a coupon code. Couple bucks cheaper then buying direct. Cost as much to ship them as it does to buy them direct from the manufacturer
JP, what's that coupon code? I'm interested in trying these... A hybrid of sorts IMO, since the impermeable liner won't air prune there per se, but the lower zone will where it's more important...

@_~JAB~_ ...usually I use 9L plastics square pots, with some side drilling done on them... I need to keep my plants on the small side due to space restrictions, height especially. I grow in near-water only KIS Nute Pack amended soil...
I get solid root mass but not choking solid....
Last year I tried some 3gal fabrics instead, and it made no real difference, caveat being different cultivars, and no multiples of the same ones in different types of pots. That makes a solid conclusion dubious, scientifically speaking... but still begs questions -

Plastic isn't necessarily inferior to fabric, a lot of other factors are in play here! Seen plenty of grows where the same cultivar from the same breeder were grown in fabric types and in something like cheap Home Depot orange buckets with plants of similar size and both were stellar results

That was from a "where have you been" email they sent me since it's been a minute since I've bought anything from there. Woulda kind of been surprised if it worked after I posted it. But there's plenty of members here that buy from there so maybe they should be a sponsor... In reality, the code might have saved me $3 for 5 3gal pots compared to buying direct :pass:

Last few runs have been with Flora Flex 3gal plastic pots. Great drainage. I haven’t experienced anything at all different from fabric pots, same yield same look same health. Cool root porn too.

Yeah, some people say plastic pots aren't the best because they don't let the roots breathe as much as fabric ones do. It could mess with your plant's health and growth. But hey, if you're watching your wallet or new to this, plastic pots can still get the job done. Just gotta keep an eye on watering and airflow, and you should be good to go.
