yes you will need to add the nutrients to the water when you feed i feed twice a week once with nutrients and once with plain water but both feeds are ph'd to 6.5

You should be ok with a 400w hps all the way through in that sized tent, i have seen people use up to a 1000w but thats overkill if you are just starting up.

If i was you i would get a soil one too, i got my one from ebay for £4/$6. i dont use it much just to check the soil ph before i start, but before i had one i ran into a lot of soil ph issues and nutrient lockout problems that cost me a few plants, so i wouldnt give my one up, in fact i am going to get a better one soon

Yeah may purchase a soil ph meter too .

Just wish my seeds would germinate so I could get going .

Also how much light would my betty boo seeds need idealy everyday ?

I was thinking 18 hours of light for the first month then 12/12 for the remainder.

Also how much a week would it cost in electric to use my 400w hps ballister?

I checked out your other thread about germing the betty boo's and at the temp on your hygrometer they should germ fine just be patient

ideally i would give them 20hrs light 4 hrs dark for their entire life

you need your electricity cost per kwh to work out how much it will cost where i am it is 13 pence per kwh so using 500w (400 for the light and another 100 for extras like fans) if i was to run 20hrs on 4 off it would cost

£1.30 per day
so a whole grow would cost £97.50

i use leds though so its a lot cheaper about half that

Im spending £10 a week on electric as it is .

Im worried about the electric man coming to my gaff every other month checking my meter .

Would there be a big difference to cause suspision ? I am a bit paranoid when it comes to it but better be safe than sorry .

Must look into l.e.ds my mate is using cfls and he hasnt really seen a change in his electric bill.

Have you a carbon filter ?

if you are in the uk you will be fine it doesnt show up as suspicious usage until you are using over 1500w constantly(24hrs)
just to put you at ease a pc running 24/7 would use up nearly as much electric

yes i have got a carbon filter. if you dont want to go to jail it is not an option it is a must!!!
these plants will stink up your whole street without one

I get paid at the end of the month buddy and a carbon filter is first on my list .

What one would you recommend , i seen one on ebay for £50 inc postage 4 inch carbon filter , would this be suitable for my tent ?

thats the one i am using now and it does a good job, its not the best on the market but i dont care as long as i cant smell it. thats the important bit

As long as it gets rid of the smell its a bargain imo .

Is it loud as my tent is in my bedroom might have to sleep on the sofa for next couple of months , small price to pay .

Bit off topic but i was wondering if you know any good seeds that are good for anxiety and severe insomnia thanks again mate you have been a great help

a favourite of mine is kush van stitch by flash seeds. a good bedtime smoke and relaxing too

I have a high tolerance to thc from smoking that much anything that will knock me out would be great .

A big creamy bucket of that would work a treat
