Is she ready for the chop? Lots of yellowing leaves but still allot of white hairs!

my auto blueberry says 8-14 weeks (98 days) but I have heard depending on growing conditions they can go longer.....you can cut some of it and leave the lower buds to ripen more if you want

Has Cervantes grown any autos yet? Far as I know he hasn't. As we all know growing autos is a totally different ball game and often what applies to photos doesn't apply to autos.

Well i still think auto requires feed to finish quickly muddy also autos are 95% photo strains now anyways so they have more in relation to photos than ruds.
I don't think there an entirely different ball game ive grown both multible times and together and are very similar in most respects aside light peroid.

Chimps have 98% of the same genetics as humans. So by that logic they should be more like humans and treated as such? The differences between photos and autos are still significant. Until people like Cervantes, Frank, Rosenthal, et al, actually grow some autos I don't think you can apply their photo techniques.

I think in this case Smallgrow is getting good advice from the majority of the responders and should just continue with plain water until the plant is finished.

Well I think both Muddy and Agito are correct, they are both different and they are both the same and there are problems when science supports many species but MJ is supported by enthusiasts. To be fair to all places like America are not only genetic melting pots for humans but MJ too - this has created confusion through terminology and lack of scientific understanding - I do not claim to be an expert but would like to share and ask questions, first I see Auto genetics similar to one of my other passions - thoroughbred racehorses where all the famous ancestral genes of the likes of Mill Reef and Nijinsky create the sprinters of today. I see marajuana as being one species and breeders who selectively introduce all the highlights of all the cream of genes from all subspecies RUDERALIS, SATIVA, INDICA, AFGHANICA. I myself am an avid Sativa supporter and was never partial to other MJ subspecies but the scientist in my blood cannot deny that at the end of the day when you guys suck all the medicating phenotypes and alleles from all these 4 families into one bean then perhaps my Sativa Gods are going to be relegated to demi-god status.

I cannot be sure myself so perhaps to help understanding what here is true or false?

1) Auto is a dominant trait and plants with 1% auto genes show auto properties?
2) AFGHANICA is simply a form of INDICA?
3) It is diversity that brings the genetic complexity needed for advancement?
4) Is CHARAS not a unique subspecies to be considered?
5) Wild Sativas can be anywhere from Lime to Gold in mature bud color and surely are distinct Sativa subspecies?

Now the F1 F2 etc of generations I can compare to the breeding of bengal cats whereby great breeding means NEW blood is brought in during each generations and there is NO INBREEDING as this bring out recessive genes that can be sold for high prices but purists can see the downside and so that said bringing rise to 2 different schools of breeder thought.

6) Should new strains be reinforced with the same strains or should different strains be used to build each generation (i.e. are we to breed to increase complexity continually or inbreed a "hybrid" for "stability") ??

Regarding Muddy's point about humans is very good, and we should remember that both MJ and Humans all diversified out of ONE TRIBE or SPECIES and then adapted through environment and selective breeding, his statement seems to support my theory of diversity, it also supports the breeding of thoroughbred MJ by helping us understand that "It does not matter if you are Indica or Sativa" it should mean:

7) you are still marijuana and that breeding a Sativa with a Ruderalis or Indica is simply INTER-RACIAL BREEDING between the same species ?

My thoughts exactly .
we are not close enough to breed with chimps if we were im sure 5+ generations out breeding they would look like more like humans than chimps also there diet advice and conditions would roughly be the same.

Look at it this way the resin has the same effects as in photos since the in breeding so there genetic make up cant be that different

Thanks everyone for all the constructive comments! I had the chance to check up on her again today and have a couple more things to run by you lot.

First up, the bud closest to the stem on each of the nugs seems to be dying I have tried to add pictures but they dont show the problem so well. Some are pale in colour and others just plain brown and dead and some even seem a bit mushy. Looked this up and saw it was symptoms of mould. Gave her a check over and cant see any other signs and all the proper nugs look fine and a nice green. Is this a bad sign? Is it usual?

Next up there are tiny tiny black spots cropping up under some nodes and start of the branches, these are extreamly small and I cant even get them on the camera. You have to look very hard for them and they dont seem to rub off. Wondering if this could be a sign of mould/fungi?

Sorry I couldn't get any better pics, in a bit of a rush!

Hope someone can clarify this, happy growing all! :peace::buds:

looks okay to me but what do I know.... i'd say you still have a ways to go I would feed her she'll need it if she's going to produce ...here are a couple pics of what my buds look like (80 days apx.) I think you need to let her start to look like these before doing any cutting...this is what your trying to get as an end product ...only bigger!

Hey everyone I have had the chance to inspect the back dots and they are actually black trichomes! A quick google tells me that this means the harvest is overdue and there is no THC left in the black trichs!

Here are some pictures for you all, I will be chopping tomorrow unless someone can convince me otherwise!

p man your buds look immense nice work !

I'd wait a couple more days and see what happens that's on a leaf!

I could do I suppose, im sure its worse than when I last checked though and seems to be creeping its way towards my buds!

I dont understand how some can be black while others still clear!

Cheers for the quick reply mate! :peace:
