Sounds cheaper and easier than buying new soil all the time with recharge. Thanks
I do have some 15 gallons I use those for Photos.Ok, I was not thinking 15 gallon pots. Obviously working for you. The volume must be big enough to work with the quality/quantity additions you are using. AJ is using 10 gallon and rotating them out but maybe does not need to. Lesson learned don't forget Volume matters.
@BII In my drip to waste system I add these types of products in a couple of different ways. Right in the reservoir the day before a change. It does not get too viscous in 18 hours. The plants get fertigated with it for one day. This will be in the root zone for a couple of days as a liquid or longer as living microbes remain in the substrate. I have a 150 mesh filter that prevents chunks from fouling the drippers. I can apply whatever with a water pump wand. I really like the FloraFlex caps on the Hugo blocks even a stoner can hit them.ReCharge, besides diverse microbes, also contains good amount of organics -- its own culture media (molasses), and kelp. I would presume you don't want these around if dealing with reservoirs, tubing, valves, etc. with fermentation and gunking things up being likely problems.
I dump mine where I grow straight in soil. Northern Michigan soil is so sandy but I mix everything from my pots into a raised bed and mix it into the sandy soil along with goose crap and 100 pounds of worm dirt I get from Walt's Crawlers which is just down the road from me. They put pallets of worm dirt outside their building with a box to put your money in. Bags contain around 30 pounds of worm dirt. They raised the price to $4.00 a bag this year from $3.00 a bag last year. I dump my coffee grounds into the bed. This year I dumped in wheelbarrow loads of old birch chips I got from grinding up an old stump about three years ago. I have probably dumped 100 pounds of used Fox Farms Happy Frog potting soil into the bed this Spring. The soil is full of nightcrawlers now. I throw banana peels into the bed.And I wanna start growing more outdoors so I'll dump it in my garden
Thanks. Good to know. I'm planning on using bennies once a week also. So my soil will remain full of life alwaysTPS, True plant science, Liquid Soil. You can just dig out the big chunk of the root in the middle and replace that soil. It will break down the other roots.
It also is a final flush. It does not take much so it goes a long way.
You just need to start with nutes earlier.
Real growers recharge can re amend your soil. That's the advice I was given. I know greenleaf nutrients makes a product called sweet candy that allot of mega crop users are running also. I only use mega crop 2 part and bud explosion myself. I use real growers recharge as a tea once a week. but I'm not sure if sweet candy is a good soil amendment or not. I know theres bennies in it. But I'm not sure. Real growers recharge is good stuff tho!I have a more specific question regarding this topic. If I use Roots Organic Original potting soil. Only using Megacrop and Bud Explosion during my plants life and decide to re-use the soil what do I re amend with? Megacrop? Very interested in this subject since this will be my first go around.
