Live Stoner Chat Is cannabis dead? biodiversity is seriously threatened.

Well if I was Monsanto and once I bought up all the rights and patent everything there wouldn't be little breeders or any breeders just people buying our seeds you know that's what companies like that want

Of course, that's what's in every CEOs job description and what shareholders want, it's business, nothing strange about that!

And that is why there is rules and laws preventing this from happening, and Monsanto is no more in the sense they are now owned by Bayer, and good riddance.....
Nobody will be able to do what you say, EXCEPT possibly in the USA where lawyers rather than common sense seems to rule, as seen with Monsanto and much else!

go to the U.S. patent office online, type cannabinoid in search, and you will see that big pharma and the government both have been patenting individual cannabinoids for ten years or more,
Yes this is very disturbing but i hope others step up because the patend process will allow others to take same cannabinoid and tweak the process of the manufacture of it. As i understand it you dont patend a naturally ocuring cannabinoid you patend the process it goes thru to become a useable end product. So others could take same cannabinoid and introduce another say terepinoid to the manufacturing process of the same cannabinoid and you have a seperate patendable product.
