Dutch Passion Iriee's DP Auto Glueberry Grown in DWC

I am actually very excited to accept this challenge. I am going into the grow with the attitude that I am gonna break Blue Toof yield records, baby! No way I can do three with what I have planned!

Seriously, I love me some Dutch Passion, but want to see what else is out there. This very rare strain from Mephisto is sounding more and more like the plan!

You will love this next phase and growing these type strains. Different stuff altogether...DP is the best place to start because their genetics are so solid and that insures good quality and yield for any grower. Every other year or so I grow outdoors, it's always DP then, their genetics reduce any chances for problems with pests, disease, etc., but indoors well,...Mephisto is hot right now. I would grow some other stuff from California, but it's just too tough to get fresh seeds that haven't been sitting around on this side of the pond. Mephisto is the best over here.

Iriee bro you're gonna go nuts once you see the frost and grease on pretty much anything Mephisto puts out. in DWC you're not even gonna have to worry about smaller yields either. excited to see this unfold!

Well, we are winding down here, and I am excited to report that I just took the buds from the paper bags. They were drier than I like but still sticky and smelling great, I weighed them and put them in jars with Boveda packs, so they should be alright.

The rest of GB1 was exactly 9 grams which brings her total weight to 150 grans exactly,

GB2 is probably dried down to 55% or so, and weighs 153 grams, Too very different plants that yielded almost exactly the same. I rolled up a big fat joint filled with buds and layered with kief. I should have a good initial feel after that one for sure! I will hold off on doming a smoke report until after two weeks of cure.

And the next adventure begins! I venture into the world of Mephisto for the first time!

I am really curious to see how the genetics do in your set up. That special pheno should be killer dope bro. I have heard good things about that one. Super frosty stuff.

Like I said though, I am curious how the plant will grow with the DWC you run and the lights you have. You have it dialed in for the DP genetics, bit interested to see if the Mephisto will react similar, want more and or less of something, we shall see...different genes make a difference in set up preferences, but you are so dialed in there, it might not matter anymore.

These will finish really fast in your system for sure. They won't go over 70 days I wouldnt think, and wouldn't be surprised to see them finish in 60 days. Mephisto veg slow at first, then finish hard and fast in the end. Something about the Spanish and their crazy sex rituals...they are always showing off!

Anyways, should be a real treat for us all to watch.

BTW the Glueberry OG looks real tasty. Did the second have a different taste than the first. The differences weren't massive, but they were there for sure when I grew her.

Man, this Chem Stomper I just chopped is magical grape weed man! Double Grape is awesome, but this stuff adds that Chem afteatse that helps keep that grape flavor hanging on your tongue well after you smoke it. Bongs hits of this are the perfect way to microdose through a day off getting stuff done at the house.

The Purple Nuggets is good as well. I accidentally knocked off a small branch with a couple nice nugs on them while working in the tent, so I dried her us as well. Very nice, you can still function, yet it is indica. The flavor is like a berry/spice combo with a aftertaste that lingers on somewhere between something Fruity and something skunky. Very nice to start the early morning rise, or settle in after dinner. The effects are very calming as well, great if you have an anxiety and want to chill out.

Hey @MedCzech! Yeah, I am thrilled for this experiment. Even if they are small, if they are done in 60 days and are amazing, I will be happy. But I am counting on them being presentable size. I am entering the battles again and have a title to defend!

I feel like a new grower again without DP. I guess we will find out if my setup is optimized for DP or not now! I will be watching the plants closely and adjusting stuff based on the plants as you taught me way back in my first grow. Still the basis for my grow style.

Taste test will have to wait another day! Being the stoner I am, I mixed up my test joint with another from GB1, and don't remember which I smoked. I am super stoned though! Haha!

They grow faster than DP for sure. Since you like to take them earlier on, you might be surprised. I have had them finish in 55 days before in a dwc bucket I like to run once in awhile. Just three years ago I ran a DP GB OG and a Mephisto Grapestomper OG side by side in dwc buckets. The DP went 90 days and yielded around 95 grams and the Mephisto went 57 days and yielded 80 grams.

The DP was stickier and had more resin, and the Mephisto grew faster and had more frost but yielded less. Some growers are now saying that DP strains are really more like Super autos because they have gotten the ruderalis genes to be enough there to activate the flowering but not so much there they get in the way of yield. This reduction in ruderalis gene extends the growth cycle quite a bit though. It was normal to have autos go 100 days with DP. Quality is great, but they are basically photoperiod plants.

Mephisto have kept enough ruderalis in their genetics so the plants flower fast. They are continuously working on the other side of the coin to improve genetics it mixes with ruderalis, not reducing the effects of the ruderalis. Two different ways to get an end product, but one more focusing on yield and one on quality.

Just a little education for myself, as I was not really aware of that before.
