Day 44

End of week 2 of flower for GB1, week 1 for GB2

Tonight was my first time seeing the plants since Sunday, and I could hardly recognize my cabinet. GB1 is officially too large to be sharing the cabinet. I hope she is done stretching! There are multiple colas within 8 inches from the cobs. The very top leaves are curling a bit at the edges, but I am not that concerned. If it grows any taller though, I will have to supercrop about ten colas. I am hoping to avoid that! She is clearly the largest plant that I have grown.

She is filled with buds, and they should stack well if the intermodal spacing says anything. She is tall, but not lanky at all... very strong and sturdy structure.

I have to strain to see GB2 behind the big girl. She is doing well though. She is in the midst of her big stretch now, and should be similar height to GB1 when done, I think. I defoliated both plants to open up the bud sites to the light.

If you are growing this strain in the future, make sure your carbon filter is working, really strong smell! Should be excellent smoke one day!

Thanks Big Al! I really appreciate the kind words, man. Lessons learned. I can only fit one GBOG in this space. I literally have to stuff her back in to close the door. I am going to have to defoliate significantly this weekend to try and give the developing buds a little more room. Oh, and forget about supercropping. My horizontal space limitations is now worse than the vertical.

By the way, your plant is coming along nicely, too. You opened her up nicely. Your buds will have lots of room to grow large.

I am almost at the point at making that decision. I wanted to try one thing first. I reorganized the lights to put the Chilled LED above the tallest colas since I can adjust the intensity down. I moved the cobs over the shorter stems and GB2, so they are more like 12 inches away from the closest tops now. Rapid LeD says that they can go closer than 12 inches, as long as the refractors are removed. Apparently, this decreases the light intensity to any one area quite a bit. Will see what happens.

That's funny you say that, Auto! I am one of the few cannabis farmers that is hoping the plant actually STOPs growing! The plant is already too wide AND too tall. It could probably easily fill out a 3x3 tent by itself, if left to grow on its own. Pretty impressive plant though. Much larger than even my ANQs from last grow. Shoot I think the smaller plant would be as large as ANQ1 from the last grow, which yielded 221 grams of trimmed dry buds.

I think you can squeeze 500 out this time. That would be sweet. Having that much reserve of that bud is great. Very balanced, every day type stuff...

Did you at least check intensity with a lux meter or something?
