Auto Afghan Kush Ryder - World of Seeds
Hey all, OzBud here.

New to AFN so thought I'd come and introduce myself, not sure if this is the right place to post this.

I've been smoking recreationally for 11 years now and started growing indoors last year.

First grow last year was a 2x3 DIY cupboard setup, 600W HPS, 2 unknown Autos by Grass O Matic in 2gal pots of coco, no perlite using GH Trio + CALiMAGic.
Ended up with 8oz total from the two plants which if I remember correctly were harvested 63 days from seed.

I Just finished up my second grow a couple of weeks ago.
Afghan Kush Ryder by World of Seeds in a 2x4 tent, 400V 600W digital ballast, 400V 600W HPS using the full GH Line except Dry KoolBloom. 3.5gal pots of coco, no perlite.
Ended up with 20oz from 3 plants in 71 Days.
I've done up a full costings spreadsheet for this grow including nutes, water, electricity, grow medium and other consumables if anyone is interested in having a look let me know.

I've got a bit about the first grow as well as a full journal for my second grow over at Grow Weed Easy where I've been for the last 8 months, not sure if I'm allowed to post links to another forum but if it's allowed I'll pm anyone the links upon request.

I saw somewhere I'm supposed to tag one of the staff in this post so @epenguin how are ya mate?

I've attached (I think) one photo of my most recent grow, but where do I post a heap of photos of my previous two grows?

:welcome: to AFN @Ozbud and thanks for posting a great intro! I personally see no problem with posting additional pics right here, but you might wait for a staff member to veryify. Most likely that smelly @epenguin watch out he's a shifty character for sure! :pass:

Harvest day. Taller plant may not have been quite ready but I had a rental inspection the next day so I harvested anyway.

4.5oz from the short, fat lady
3.5oz from the taller one.

Now onto the most recent grow.
I germinate in Jiffys, then once sprouted I transplant to final container of coco.
Here's 3 sisters, Auto Afghan Kush Ryder by World of Seeds on Day 1, 14 hours after transplant and put under 600WHPS.
There was a 4th sister that was transplanted the day after but was a runt and terminated at about day 30 as I only wanted to grow the best 3 anyway, wrong time of year for outdoor and nobody to donate it to.

Also a photo of the 4 girls the next day in the new setup since upgrading from the DIY cupboard conversion used in my first grow.

Setup I use now is (I'm not promoting or suggest anyone try these products it's just to show what I'm using and the results I managed to achieve with it)
Tent: Gorilla 2'x4'x6'11
Ballast: Lumatek 400V 600W dimmable digital ballast
Bulb: GE Lucalox 400V 600W HPS
Reflector: Large SeaHawk Batwing
Intake: 6" passive
Ventilating: 6" Hyper Fan
Air Circulation: 2x 6" clip ons
Environmental Control: Hyper Fan temperature controller
Ducting: 6" Insulated
Ducting attachments: Sile-X 6" Solid Ducting Silencer

I run lights continually from transplant to harvest, no lights out.
Once plants are about two weeks old I start watering DTW daily with 10-30% runoff. Aimed for runoff pH of 6.0 and adjusted input pH depending on the runoff figure the day before.
Once plants get to day 7 I bump nutes up from 25% strength to 50% and work my way up from there until I see what the plant can tolerate, then I back off slightly. Second grow I got to 80% strength before any signs of nute burn, then backed off to 75% strength until pre harvest flush.
