Indoor Indoor setting

Hi,

At first I thought Im gonna do outdoor growing, but then thought about the hassle that comes with it and the fact that its somewhat hard to hide it, I started to think about indoor growing as I have plenty of room that I could just lock and no risk of anyone spotting it.

I'm about to plant my seedlings, they are in wet paper towel for 48 hours. Its Dinafem White Widow XXL. I know its a bit bigger auto, but I don't mind if they stop at 4' instead of 5'.

So I would need something for 2 autoflower plants, I will use them for autos only as its for my own personal use. In the future I will probably have smaller autos than this strain.

1) The tent is 1.2m*1,2m*2m,Light is Sylvania SHP-TS GroXpress 400W for flowering and Phytolite MH 400w growth.

2) The tent is 1.2m*1.2m*2m, light is Sylvania SHP-TS Groxpress 600w for flowering and Phytolite MH 600w for growth.

Which one would you choose? Do you see any problem with this setup?

As long as you can control the heat go for the 600 watt.

I will have ventillation system with carbon filter etc.

Would you do something different Namvet25? I mean the type of lights are okay for autos?

They are used by alot of growers and work fine but they do give off heat but maybe you already no this.At some point you may want to check out LED lights that are cheaper to run and give off hardly any heat,

neither. I wouldn't use a tent for autos. Who needs them? They are not stealthy. Everybody knows what they are if they see one. They collect heat and are just an all around pain.

I use a tent for autos and it works out just fine, I have no problem with heat & I vent in the same room, did you not read the OP? he stated he had the room to lock it away there for no one would see it. They might not be to your liking but some of us don't have a choice.

@namvet25 : yeah I know about the heat I have pretty big room for the tent and ventillation system so I guess I can control that. Led lights are pretty expensive and I dont have the money right now. Probably I will only grow 4 plants a year if they give me 1-1.5 oz/each and thats enough for me for a year.

@autogogo: it will be locked out in a room where noone goes, and only my really close family(3ppl) will know about it because sometimes I have to travel and sooner or later should ask them to water them or could call them in case of emergency (hide them or destroy them) or w/e. What would you use instead of a tent for maximum 2 autos?

yes, I read he has a room he can lock, so why use a tent? Just put a light and a fan and a plant in the room and lock the door.

buy a 600w m/h and run it 24/0 over about 3 plants in a 2x3 pattern. Keep a fan running and if possible the windows open in good weather. You can do it in a corner and put a japanese screen or something in front of it and keep the plug handy to pull.

My first time growing i ran 3 northern light autos under a air cooled 400w in a 2'x4' tent. Very little knowledge and quite a few mistakes. I cleared right under 3 oz dry total between the 3. With a little more experience you can get more depending on how you go about things. If you are looking to supply only yourself for a year i would put 4-6 under the 600 and let them ride. You should only have to do 1 grow a year and some nice home grown with a good 3-6 month cure will be some of the best smoke you will ever have. If you can produce what you need in 1 run that is less chance of outside discovery and less you will spend on resources to fire up the system 2-3 more times a year. Good luck keeps us up to date!
