Indoor Indoor 3x gorilla glue in coco coir first time grow

View attachment 935663

What's up Ryan, as a fellow Californian learning through his first grow, and dealing with this crazy heat, I want to share a chart I have found helpful. Geting your humidity and temps in line is going to be important. I overlooked this until my plants suffered from heat stress and folks on AFN introduced it to me.

You probably will need a humidifier in your tent. My cool mist humidifier cost $40 from Amazon, and might have saved my grow.

Good luck, man!
Nevermind, did some research. I get it now. Wow my plants have been in the red this whole grow so far then. I'm working on bring temperature down to optimal levels. 81 f and 65% RH now. Thanks for the help my dude

Hey man thanks for the chart! I've think I've seen that chart flying around before, never quite understood how to read it. I'm guessing the yellow blocks are the optimal levels? What do the numbers with decimals mean? I have gotten a humidifier and lowered the temp down to 82 f and 60% RH, but that puts me in the dark blue section in the chart. If i have a stable 82 f does that mean I need to keep the RH at close to 70-75%? seems a little high.

Think of the top white band as the ideal range for veg, the gold as ideal for early flower, and the bottom bar as ideal for late flower. The decimals just show VPD value for each temp/rh combo. Here is an article that helps explain.

I can't reach optimal levels because of the intense heat, but try to get the humidity as high as possible.

Thanks for the reply! I think I messed up when mixing my medium, I only had enough perlite for about 70/30 or 80/20. Is that okay? or will it be a problem in the future. I bought more perlite but don't want to be digging around in my coco and potentially messing up the roots. I posted a picture of my tent in another reply. Let me know if you think two 3 gallon smart pots and a half gal food container would work.
Should be fine

Sent from my comfy chair.

Hey guys, what do you think I should do with this seedling thats in a 1 liter cup? She doesn't look like shes doing too well, maybe I fucked up on the drainage. I don't think I have enough room for 3 plants in 3 gal pots. Do you think its time to transplant to like a 1.5 liter or 2 liter pot?

Hey Ryan, I am growing two plants in a cabinet the same size, one of which is an auto Gorilla Glue. To be honest, if I didn't defo and supercrop, the GG could fill up the room by itself. My Purple was stunted by the heat, which is the only way it fits. If I had two GG's in there of the same size, I would be looking at a scrog of some type. Forget about trimming and pruning. I imagine you could go that route. I would probably stick to two GG's in that space, though.

Are gorilla glue strains just naturally bigger/taller or something? Might have to give it away or something. I don't know much about scrogs and supercropping

I don't know if they are bigger or taller, as a rule, but my plant hasn't even gone through the flowering stretch yet, and it has already taken up more than have of the footprint of the cabinet. I have also seen quite a few journals and the plants are usually vigorous growers. I wouldn't worry about the pot space, as much as the canopy space with three of them.

Good to know. Wondering if you have any pics of the plants? And your setup too since you’re growing in the same sized space. I did a little research into scrogging, is it basically just tying the nodes to the wire net right when they reach it? To give room for the bottom nodes to get up there too. Also I’m assuming you have to top them to get an even canopy? Looks like a lot of work.. I was thinking about topping and doing low stress test instead, what do you think?

Hey Ryan, the link to my grow journal is in my signature below. Take a look and let me know if any questions. I would be happy to help you avoid mistakes I made.

Yes, with our small space, we can also use a trellis net to accomplish the same thing. The idea is to keep the top colas at a manageable height and give them all access to the light. And yes, topping or filming helps with the even canopy, but you can tuck longer stems in a net/Scrog to accomplish the same even canopy.
