Indoor In the Rasters of My 4 by 4

Too bad I recently highlighted my 41 Bucks, because I'm going to talk about her again. Terpenes aren't anything to write home about. Stem rubs get me a vague smell of citrus peel, and the buds smell like good weed, but that's about it. Unless my sinuses are getting in the way and that's a possibility. But I flipped her early and she's not really holding it against me. This girl is really stacking it on. And since I started checking both ends of the pot and watering more, she's responding to that too. If this is good smoke I'm going to run her again but give her more veg time.

Next up: Purple Canyon. On the left is Pheno 1, already identified as good but manageable stretcher. My favorite kind. I just miked her and she's still got at least a few more weeks to go.

On the right, her sister, pheno 2. I grew her 12/12 from seed and flipped back to veg after making some seeds. She wasn't a stretcher under that schedule. But now, under a normal light schedule and with a jillion colas because of the revegging, she's still a very capable stretcher. Maybe more than pheno 1. I am just really stoked about this strain!

I only have one Mango Smile left. I went through all my Mephisto strains and the one I think is most likely to mix well is their Super Orange Haze. So I'll be reversing the Mango Smile onto the Super Orange Haze and an Auto AK Triple Haze for vigor. Auto AK Triple Haze doesn't mind cold nights outdoors and Mango Smile does so hopefully this will give me some good outside autos.

This is the Doug's Varin I revegged. It's doing quite well but not as much of a stretcher as Purple Canyon. Healthy, but not really all that impressive but I'm really looking forward to trying out something with some THCV. Very bushy though!

I put a tomato cage around the Strawberry Cough. I haven't miked it yet, but she's in fade already so hopefully I get to try some Strawberry Cough soon.

She's two colas shy of a full load because I took two for clones. That operation failed so I'll be reversing her after harvest. But I still expect a decent harvest, even though I flipped her early.

As you might recall, I crossed some White Aloha x Headband/Mikado ("Whamband") from an old Hazeman tester. While still in flower, I took a seed off of either Purple Canyon '2' or Doug's Varin, threw it into a pot and forgot which mother. Then it sprouted. I think it might be crossed with Purple Canyon.

Anyhoo, I labeled it Whamband x Mystery and today I managed to squeeze it into my 4x4 to start flowering.

I probably should have waited but this being a hybrid of hybrids, stretch is a real possibility. I consider "it" fully trained. I'm not going to take a cutting, but will reveg later if it's a she and she's a keeper. Otherwise, I'm just really curious how things turn out.

White Aloha x Headband/Mikado I'm pretty sure the White aloha is https://en.seedfinder.eu/strain-info/98_Aloha_White_Widow/Unknown_or_Legendary/ I'm not 100% but I'm damn near and it's making me really interested cause I have always been a huge White Widow fan since I was just starting to smoke flower and the first legit strain I had was some absolutely amazing White Widow and I have some plans to see what the difference between Black and White Widow are this winter I can't wait to see the harvest of the Strawberry Cough and Headband to see what the smoke report is gonna be for both keep the great work up! Yeah, that's it. I didn't realize it had both White and black Widow - that's awesome! I'll definitely be doing smoke reports at some point. The parents I'm calling Whamband, I only made RHO from them after making seeds and it was pretty awesome. It felt like it had more depth than a lot of the stuff I've smoked lately.

And yes, I know what Popeye kept in that can, and IRL it was a mason jar.

I plucked a couple of seeds from the Purple Canyon in flower. As you might remember, I had an Afgaan 90 x Kumaoni in there that went full-on herm and knocked her up.

I think it would be cool if I was already growing her offspring before chopping her so tomorrow I'm popping one or both of them.

If they sprout, I'll spend a couple of hours extracting more seeds from her buds. I'm tempted to cut all the top buds because those are the ones with seeds. But that's just ugly.

The bad news is that I got two seeds out of a tiny bud fragment I was checking for trichomes. I think she's got enough seeds to feed my chickens for the day.

I’ll be watching the mango smile closely. I have that strain and have been waiting for some odd reason (adhd) can’t wait to seee your results!!

I almost didn't post this because it's really embarrassing. The sandwich bag can give you an estimate about yield. It contains the bud that had seeds because I chopped that bud a few days ago. I'm guessing about half an ounce.

The last one I grew got pretty large - as large as any auto I've ever grown. So this is pretty disappointing.
