New Grower im thick! i know already

hello ,
i know perhaps i should have introduced myself in the kiddy's section an i'm sorry but for various reasons (including an inspection by my landlord im panicking a bit.
ive always grown under hps lights nothing special just enough for me my misses an my boy (he is 20 btw , so this is the first time growing with cfl lamps and first time growing auto's under lights.
anyway my question is ,( ive searched most of your forums and im sure the info is here somewhere but i just cant find it )
Am i going to have enough light for 5 ak47 autos starting for three weeks approx
under 1 x blue spectrum 250 watt cfl (it is a twin reflector i just dont have the extra money for another lamp yet) then an additional reflector with 4x red spectrum 250 watt cfl ?
i know most of you are going to have a go at me , tell me to google it , work it out for myself ETC well ive tried but dont want to go thru all this just to have shit weed AGAIN , or stolen again or f@#kin busted an taken again , most shit grows have been my fault (mainly not had the money for the best soil and neuts but am hoping this is sorted now !thanks in advance for any help

You have 1x 250w for veg and 4x 250w for flower? That should be more than enough, but I have never really used cfl so I can't say 100%. But I've definitely seen grows with only 250 Watts of florescent bulbs turn out good results, thouh I don't know how many plants were under them.

What's up unzie? That's a damn hellova lot of light! IMO, 1,250 w of cfl will see you through. I also have more red than blue for my first grow attempt. Worked out nice, but as per advice from more than one source on this forum, I'll be changing that to more blue throughout the whole grow next time. Best of luck!

i finished my last grow under cfl lights
1 was a 200w 6500k
1 was a 200w 2700k
they were used when my 400w hps
ballast quit.
400w of cfl finished 9 plants
for a total dry weight of almost
4 ounces.

so just add the reds, leave the single blue 250 in place

CFL's will get the job done! Ripster and a few others around here knock out some impressive CFL grows!

Yeah for flower you'd want more red spectrum. But i love to use dual spectrum (red and blue) As often as i can. So it would be a good idea to keep the blue 250 in as well.

not having a go but would not 1 400-600w hps be cheaper than 4x 250w cfl's?
