The wife is mustard about weed... She hates it to be honest.. But has just comes to accept it now....grudgingly

Alright Kush t, just wizzed through your thread and things looking alot better for you this time round so far mate. Am trying my hand at dwc as well for first time and im having probs keeping my ph in check. Setting @ 5.7-8 and by the next morning its risen to mid to high 6's. Any ideas what im doing wrong chap?

Do you have any gaps where the light can go to the bakets? What is your ec/ppm? Res temp?

Is this big pH rise after a res change? Is the water warming up after this res change..
I bubble my water for 24hrs... Now at the beginning of my first grow I was bubbling outside the tent so when it went into the buckets in the tent it was warming maybe 7-8c.. I'm sure that was swinging my pH up..

I started to bubble my water in the tent then to warm it up some before the res change & I found that the pH, once set wasn't quite do volatile..

Although with these AN pH perfect nutes I'm NOT warming the water as it bubbles before hand... It hardly ever budges.. If it does its by .1 over a couple of days...

Maybe you should try them?

I've turned all my lights on at half power.. They don't seem to mind so that's cool..

I'm getting a little concerned about my taller plant.. She seems a lot slower growing.. Roots & above ground...

Truth be told they are both a touch on the small side... But I'm hoping that they'll come good... Not concerned about the shorter stouter plant.. I think she will be real nice come harvest time.. The other... hmmm... Not so sure.. But as I've said she is going all the way so I'll just have too wait & she what she does... She is actually starting to look a little underfed?? @ 1.2-1.3EC!!! I'm not upping her feed though.. No way.. Been there tried that..

Not until next week anyway..

No gaps for light to get in but think res temps are high, ive got a marine thermomiter and it says its at 26 at its warmest and defo feels warm to meto touch though. My ec meter isn't the best but i check its correct all the time, ec is 1.2 but dont no what ppm is chap. Thanks

Thanks kush t yeah its doing my nut in chap. I changed res night before last and next morning i had to lower ph and again this morning as well. Thankfully its only taking only 1 drop to bring it back down but its just worrying that its up and down so much. Will defo look into the ph perfect nutes for my next grow though thanks man.

Your very welcome along dw1... The more the merrier

As for your res temps... Your heading for some root rot at that temp mate... Try to keep your res temps stable between 16-20c.. Max 24c but I NEVER let my res temps get anywhere near that. I know it's not that easy especially with a HPS bulb... Get your self some 750ml water bottles give them a GOOD wash empty a little water out (to allow for expansion) a freeze them... Buck one in your res's & swap it/them in & out as needed...

If you check out SB's journals you'll see that he keeps all his temps (res & tent) within a certain threshold... & look what that homie can do with a DWC bucket..

Maybe next res change set your pH @ 5.4-5.5 & see where it ends up...

I feel for you bro... You gotta stabilise those res temps dude or there will be problems..

I tell ya folks... I've just been back & had a look at my Think Diff grow log...
They had all sorts of early problems & yet they are way ahead of these two yum yums...

It has got me thinking.. I had root problems in my last grow for sure... The final TD that came down.. Her roots were very smelly right at the end... Like the last 4-5-6 days or so... a week max..

Now I sterilised my system with h2O2.. Net pots.. buckets etc... but I'm wondering was something still present in the net pots?? These girls are slow... Really slow.. Roots as well.. Maybe they arnt as aggressive growers as the TD strain is.. It's now starting to make me think I need new net pots...

Or it could be nothing & I'm just not that good a grower yet... Everything is stable... So I'm baffled... Maybe they'll get there spurt on in a day or two..

You have to admit folks they are small for 17 days... Even in soil you would expect a larger auto than what's on show here...

I was happy enough when I left the house this morn... Now I'm thinking about this... I'm getting a bit annoyed.. Bummer.
