Hi everyone! I have a 2 COB set up running right now. I was considering adding reflectors now that my girls are 3 weeks old. For anyone that uses the reflectors when do you begin to use them? Should I dim the lights down then add them? I apologize for my noob questions but this is my first run with COBs so I’m a bit hesitant to add them and risk burning my girls. Thanks!

Perhaps you should ask a Mod to move this post to the cob light section.

I have a 5 COB light and have the wide angle reflectors on them. I've had them on from the beginning. From what I understand is all they do is spread the light out to cover a larger area. I am currently running mine at about 60% of the 75W max from my driver. I knocked one off today and just put it back on with the light on. The hard part is that it is so bright you have a hard time aligning the slots.

Are these the 60deg Angelina reflectors?
These reflectors concentrate light, they do not spread it out.
Without the reflector and its connector, you get a very wide spread of light.
The connector has a small 120deg reflector built into it with the slope on the inside of the connector.
The reflector narrows this down to a 60deg spread,

I'm using the Angelina Extra Wide which is described as 89 Degree with efficiency of 94%.

My connector doesn't have a built in reflector.

In a small tent you don’t need them imo. In a bigger area you may want the overlap ( light spread ) for more plants ? Whenever I tried them I had to raise my light tho. Just experiment & read your plants reactions :) .
