Have to say I'm really pleased with the paper bag method. I've only used whole plant or branch hanging before. Never thought dry trim was much of an issue until I did my first wet trim last week. The wife and I were able to break down 450+ grams in less than 45min compared to multiple hours before. The smallest plant was dry in 3 days, the other 3 were dry in 5 days. There's almost no chlorophyll smell or taste, and every day in the jar they get better. You've got enough material that you could always try multiple drying techniques this grow.
I have been thinking about this post, and I do want to try a couple different things, since I have the opportunity. Now is the time for me to experiment on a couple different methods to figure out what works for me. Here is my plan, as of now.
Critical Purple - I will do a whole plant hang and a true dry trim before jarring. I chose the CP for the whole plant hang because, well, it's size and structure seems to support it. There won't be a lot of leaves to cut, which is the main downside of whole plant dry trimming.
Gorilla Glue - I will harvest and wet trim and manicure the entire plant. For one third of the plant, I will trim the buds off wet, and place in a paper bag for the full dry.
I will hang the manicured buds still on stems for the rest of the plant. However, after a few days, I will remove half of the stems, snip the buds and put them in paper bags to finish the dry. The remaining stems will complete the hang dry.
So, three different drying methods on the GG, and a fourth with the CO. Since I have been learning all along during this grow, I will complete the process in that same spirit. Looking forward to this experiement and learning opportunity.
