OK so after careful consideration i have chosen to go with T-5HO lights for my closet grow. Now i just have some questions about t-5 lighting system . Just to give you some background info my closet dimensions are 36"W x 15"L x 92"H. I plan on putting a shelf in the middle are growing 3 autos on the top half and 3 on the bottom. Now that I have decided to go with T-5HO. I have some questions I hope someone knowledgeable about t-5s could help me with.

1. There appears to be 2 types of t-5 ho lights 25wt5ho and 55wt5ho. Now for my closet size I have 2 options a 2ft 4 bulb 25wt5ho that produces 8,000 lumens or a 2ft 2bulb 55wt5hp that produces 10,000 lumens. so my question is.. WHICH ONE SHOULD I GO WITH?

2.There is 2 different types of bulbs Bloom (3000K) And Grow (6400K) . Now one of the advantages of t-5s is to be able to easily change the bulbs to give the plant the proper spectrum of light at that stage of the plants life. now my question is .... WHICH BULBS SHOULD I GET AND WHAT IF ANY LIGHT SCHEDULE SHOULD I FOLLOW AS FAR AS WHEN SHOULD USE THE BLOOM BULBS AND WHEN SHOULD I USE THE GROW?

3. During my research there seems to be mixed info as far as the temperature of the bulbs some ppl say thery are very hot and some ppl say they are cool enough to touch . Also some ppl say you can put the t5s right next to the plant others say t5s only work from a bit of a distance cause they need some room for the light to disperse (forgive me if i am using the wrong terminology but i hope u understand what i am talking about) again my question is .. HOW CLOSE SHOULD I PUT THE T5S TO THE TOP OF THE PLANTS AND DOES THIS CHANGE AT ALL FOR THE DIFFERENT STAGES OF GROWTH?

BIG THANKS IN ADVANCE  and I will be putting all this info in my grow journal to help out future closet auto growers.

I have little knowledge of T-5 lights. I know LEDs. If you are interested in , I am glad to help you.

2. 6400k start to finish seems to be fav mate#
3. close as possible 2-4" depending on heat

I use a 2ft 4 bulb T5HO 6500k for all vegging 24/0 before moving to an hps system....I keep my lights no more than 4 " aways from plants with a fan blowing around to maintain proper temps...works great...

Thanks everyone for your reply . Sorry to ask so many questions on here I just wanna learn as much as i can so i dont fu*k anything up. I am also one of those people who cant make a decisions. So if someone would please tell me if i should go with the 2 foot 4 bulb 24wt5ho at 8,000 lumens or the 2ft 2 bulb 55w 10,000 lumen light? Also(and i know this is off topic) ive been seeing a lot of theses plants called super autos on the seed bank sites the reviews always look better for them what exactly is a super auto as far as i can tell it looks like it finishes in 3 months instead of 2.

I would go with the 24w T5HO as those are standard and the replacement bulbs are cheap and easy to find. The others are known as PL lights, and are a bit more uncommon. Both will work fine for growing your plants. Superautos grow longer and larger than regular autos. They like big pots and outdoor grow spaces, but they can be grown indoors if you have the skills. IMO, they are not really for beginners. Best to get started with some proven regular auto strains to test out your grow conditions and methods. Once you've got some experience, you'll be better equipped to determine whether superautos are right for you.
