I cant get a grasp on starting up an organic grow

went back to the candy store, and bought another cubic foot of buildasoil 3.0!!! i also bought two 5 gallon fabric pots... i thought i had everything figured out, put 2 fastbuds seeds in rapid rooters, bought ascorbic acid for chloramines(tap), and ordered another qb288 240w led... went to candy store to grab mulch, soil, and pots... they didnt have mulch, so now i have 2 new autos sprouted from rapid rooters, two 5 gallon pots, no mulch, and no amendments... also went for alfalfa meal, blood, bone, and epsom... they didnt have alfalfa, or epsom so i didnt get anything else... been busting my brains reading 30 different tabs, from forums, and everywhere else about organics, and am realizing now, RIGHT NOW, "that i dont know shit about organics"... im ready to abort ship again, and stick em in coco dtw, but something keeps telling me to stick the new sprouts in the soil... should i put the sprouts in the soil without mulch? will it harm my soil to stick under lights, before i get mulch in? i have to order it... unless cedar mulch from walmart is fine... also would it be better for 2 plants in 5gallons each, or one walmart 20 gallon tote with 15 gallons of soil, and 2 plants in same container??? please help, i have to plant these sprouts tonight or tomorrow...

Hahaa.. Take a deep breath... Filled with thc... Then exhale.. Lol. You're just over thinking it. It's common. You bought one of the best living soils from one of the best sources. You don't need any dry amendments right now, and you don't need mulch. Mulch is used to keep the top soil moist. You can do that by watering. Mulch also helps if you have worms and cover crop. But it is nowhere near necessary. The 3.0 soil blend you have is a water only soil. It won't need to be amended for quite some time. The craft blend amendment from Build a soil has all of the amendments you bought, plus it's mixed with proper ratios. I top dress with it at the end of grows before I replant. Your soil will far outlast any autoflower. Autos last 65-75 days. My advise would be to take a step back and keep it simple. You are on the right path... When you think organic, think nature.. Ask yourself, "is this how it works in nature"? If the answer is no, then it's most likely not needed. Plants in nature don't get top dressed.. No one adds calmag to a plant that is rooted in the ground. The soil you have is active and alive. Your job is to now keep it alive.. You do that with compost teas once every month or so, and/ or something like recharge that will add microbes and the proper fungi. Your autos will be fine! If you really want the full organic experience, do the one pot with two plants. Again, ask yourself, "does this happen in nature"? Are plants planted alone in the ground in nature? Heck nooo! They grow with and next to all types of other plants. Their roots communicate, they exchange nutrients and many other things. The bigger the pot, the more available food, the lesser the need to amend. I've grown as many as 4-5 autos in a 15 gal no till pot. Ps... I use a $3 bag of cedar mulch from walmart.. Cedar has many benefits, including being a natural insect repellant. After that ran out, I used the fan leaves from other plants after harvest. Many things can be used as 'mulch' if you really want to use it.

Man thanks a lot...i sure am an over thinker... I've just been hydro since I started, bout 7-8 years ago... Started out hempy, did dwc, and stuck with coco dtw for the last 3 years... I'm so used to bottles/powders... I will go buy a tote today to get the sprouts in there... Everytime I think I'm getting ahead, I end of reading something else and get more confused.... Wth!!! The rev tlo, Clackamas coot no till, subcool... I don't even know if I'm searching right, but I'm doing this this time.... I almost went and stuck the sprouts in coco last night.... Decided to reach out to afn first... Any good links to l.o.s info?

Thanx guys... Finally got em in pots today... Went to Wal-Mart to buy a 20 gallon tote, but they only had clear totes.... So I went ahead n came home, planted em in the 5 gallon fabric pots, and sprinkled a little diatomaceous earth on top, because there were flying insects all in the bag.... Pics

Afn!!! I now have a 30 gallon tote.... I also now have a question... Can I put my two five gallon pots in this tote, put another bag of soil around them, and still benefit as if it were a bed??? Like would the bacteria and and microbes interact with soil on both sides of the fabric??? Sorry but this is new to me and I would really like to get a no till life going for my soil.... I'm already $80 plus into just the soil, pots, and ascorbic acid (for tap)... Also About a month of wrecking my brain and nerves trying to learn this... If no till works for me... I will need about 300 gallons of soil to make... I would have to know it works, before I allow myself to spend that type of money... So i really am determined to nail this trial.... Thanx for all help...
