Ahlan-wa-sahlan to my "backyard" :)

What a coincidence. I'm at 13/14 weeks with NL5H. I seem to have done my two nute burns when I added a bigger quantity of urea and micro nutrients. Very sensitive to those for sure! With fishmix she takes it really well and i find it to have a lot of those micros she needs aswell. I'm also doing a flush once a month to remove any unwanted salts.

I've got a few questions for you if you don't mind answering. What nutes do you use? How tall is yours at the moment? How big of a pot? Mine is root bounded already... I know because she has a lot of roots coming from the bottom hole. If I didn't had to hide her when the family comes around I'd move her into a 60L pot I have :)

:peace:

ps - do you have a pic to share? :)

Salam (Peace) Hugo,

Just finished going through your thread, great work and congrats on your first grow.

Seems as though we're both in the same boat, I'm on my first grow at 31N latitude doing NL5xHaze outdoor in pots. Mine are about 12 weeks in veg, and have suffered from an over nute incident from which they have recovered. I found mine to be extremely sensitive to nutes, and use a much lighter schedule than yours. I am amazed at how much you're able to give yours without more trouble. I have cut back (on the NLxHaze) to a quarter of what you're giving and find it can't handle anymore than that..!?

I also have a couple of autos from Nirvana and Paradise running along the same time line as you. I can hardly wait.. :D

Anyways, great work, good luck, will be watching your progress if you don't mind.

Peace.

Hey noods! :D

When you say something like this do you mean to have a virgin girl holding each one of the branches? Ahah!

I'm planing to run a cord around the plant circling all the branches and tie it at full circle's end. That means I Expect the branches to have similar sizes and weight on all ends, otherwise, it'll tomb to one side and I'll need to make some cruTches or work some other concoction out :)

Glad to have you around my friend.

Hugo, I was wondering... Will you be using something like this to help those sexy long branches stay upright and not drag on the ground when they start filling out? Or what are you planning?

Hugo asking if I... mean to have a virgin girl holding each one of the branches?

:crying: Dude, if that's what floats your boat, sure!
Personally, I'd rather have the lovelies know what they're doing with such a heavy responsibility! :crying:

Hey Ghabi, what about your soil? Maybe it's hot or has time release nutes in it. :smokebuds:

Thank you for the kind words, Hugo. Glad to have stumbled upon your thread and will be following through for the season, if you don't mind :smokebuds:

I have two NLH going in pots right now (on my patio, not unlike yours). I start all my plants indoor, germinate, acclimate, and then out they go, typically within ten days of germination. The first one i started the begining of March, and it was doing beautifully. In my over zealous, newbie enthusiasm, I started giving it full-dose as recommended by manufacturer (Grow More), one application of which was enough to burn it badly. What made things worse was the small pot, as I have (again, not unlike you) space and stealth constraints. My patio is not very private, so I'm trying to blend a few pots in without getting too much attention, and so my strategy was to keep my plants in small (2 Gallon) pots to constrain their stretch and bulk. Needless to say, I found this to be a mistake. With such great genetics, I was only suffocating the plants, so I potted up to 5 Gal. pots, which I think is a minimum for the plant to flourish. Shortly after the shock to the first one and its subsequent repotting, I started a new one at the end of March, maintained it with very little fert (only when she asked for it) and she's already started flowering two days ago and looking healthy (will post pics, if you'd like). The first one has since recovered, but its growth had slowed down substantially as she's recovered from the over-nute burns.

I'm limited in my locale to what's available, so the best I found was Grow More products, namely Sea Grow

and for bloom, the Hawaiian Bud & Bloom formula

I also use the Seaweed Extract

In addition to Bio-Cozyme, Humic Acid, and Super Thrive plant Tonic.

I advise to pot up, if you can find a way to hide when family visits (i know the feeling, and the routine :help:).

Mine are at about 1.5 meters already, enjoying hot sunny weather (around 30-34 Celssius) and getting 5-6 hours of direst sun.

Hope this helps..?

Ahhhhh, the soil..

Again, I'm limited here with what's available. I have used two types of soil, seemingly top quality but have suffered from low PH (I think soil related). One mix is the Kekkila Peat Substrate (Finnish), the other is Van Egmond universal potting soil (Dutch), both of which have a 5-6 PH and NPK/Nutes supplements. Mind you, I do not apply any nutes the first 4 weeks (other than Root Plex) upon transplanting.

Glad to have on board ghabi.

You can use the seaweed extract and the humic acids along with the root stimulator on the first 4 weeks.

I would however flush the soil before starting to use the nutes because there's really no way one can tell the plants have used it all uP from the soil. Maybe that's why they got burned? One clear way to know is by the type of burn. If it was tip burn it's nute burn, if on the other hand it's osmosis burn it's a salt build up burn with nute overdose.

I'd like to see some pics of your plants sure! :)

Going through the forum instructions on pic upload now, will post (although not the greatest pic quality) shortly..
